Daily Student Announcements
ORGANIZATIONS:
Yoga club meets on Tuesday after school in the upstairs Pickard Lobby.
Art Club will be meeting in room 420 at 3:20 pm every Tuesday.
SEA Club will now meet on Tuesdays after school. Please plan to meet at 3:25 pm in room 164B.
Book Club will be starting up again on Tuesday, Jan. 27th, in room 231 after school. They will be
reading “Paper Towns” by John Green. Please see Mrs. Mettlach if you have questions.
French Club: There will be a French Circle at 3:30 pm in room 324 on Wednesday, Jan. 28th.
Yearbook will be meeting Wednesday after school in room 103.
Science Olympiad will meet every Wednesday night to prepare for the Regional Competition. See
Mr. Sonntag in room 510 for details.
Knitting Club - Meets Wednesdays at 3:30 in the Career Center. See Mrs. Uvaas with any
questions.
Creative Writing Club meets on Thursdays, in room 212.
Heart Group will be meeting on Thursday, after school in room 404. Diversity Fair is not far off. We
will begin to look at some ideas.
VERY IMPORTANT MEETING for SKI CLUB.- Please attend on either Monday 1/26/15 after
school in room 336 or before school on Tuesday, 1/27/15. Please see Ms. Rowe if you cannot
attend to get the dates of the trips and the paperwork. Also check SCHOOLOGY under THE
ADVENTURE CLUB GROUP for more info.

GENERAL:
There is a doubles badminton tournament on Monday January 26th at 7pm. There is no cost to
participate and sign up forms are located in the activities office. If you have any questions, ask Jenna
Rustick or Caroline Jones.
Lifeguards needed!! If you are a lifeguard and are interested in a job, please contact either Mr.
Werner in the Activities office or Kristi Kaczrouske (NHS Pool Manager) at
[email protected].
Blood Drive Forms are now available in the offices – sign up now to donate blood on January 28th!
There is a new dance club for all levels. We will be focusing on swing but various types of partner
dances will be taught. For more information, check out “Swing Dance Club 2015” on Facebook or
contact Louise Brownell.
Attention certified lifeguards, Mrs Dohr in the Wellness dept. is looking for daytime, 2nd semester
lifeguards, for mod 5. Please see her in the girls' wellness office, in the fieldhouse, immediately if you
are interested.
Neenah Soccer Club’s Recreational Soccer Registration is open - Register now, before the late fee
kicks in on Feb. 1st!! This program is open to all players ages 4 to 19. The 2015 season begins the
week of May 4th, 2015 and concludes at the end of July. Because of the high school sports seasons,
U16 and U19 teams don’t begin play until the week of May 11th, 2015. Register by going to:

click on the “2015 Spring/Summer Recreational Soccer Registration” link toward the top of the home
page. Scholarships are available, contact [email protected] for more information. Note
that a late fee of $25 per player will be added to all registration fees after February 1st, 2015.
The Neenah Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for summer
2015 part-time employment. The deadline for accepting applications is Friday, February 6, 2015.
Applications are available and can be completed online at www.neenahgov.org . If you have specific
questions, call the Parks & Rec office at 886-6060.
Have you every thought about going on a service trip? This summer you will have your opportunity.
Mr. Borchardt will taking a group of NHS students to the Dominican Republic to do service work. If
you are interested please stop down to see Mr. Borchardt in room 416 or email him for more
information.
The Cardio Room will be open to all students after school from 3:30--5:30 PM
Remember, students, there is NO Parking in the back row of Lot "B" (the main lot) when there is
snow on the ground! That area is used for pushing snow into when the lot is ploughed.

CONGRATULATIONS:
The Neenah Red Chess Team is in first place in the Northeast Wisconsin Chess Association!
Corey Ehrgott won two gold medals and a silver medal at the state Special Olympics winter games
over the weekend in Wausau. He finished first in the Giant Slalom and Slalom events and placed
second in the Super G.
