NBA 2K13 Tournament Rules
Tourney Set Up

All equipment will be provided




Single elimination tournament
Tournament is limited to 16 players
Three (3) minute quarters
Championship game will be played on 5 minute quarters
o Three (3) minute overtime
Lower ranked (by OVERALL) team will be “away”
o Ex. Bulls vs. Magic
 Bulls will be away team
Players late for their games will receive a forfeit



Difficulty: Superstar
Game Style: Simulation
Real Player Free Throw %
Real Player Shooting %
Substitutions: Auto/Manual
Late Game Fouling: Auto/Manual
Play Vision: Off
Overtime: 2 minutes
Game Speed: Default settings
Camera: Broadcast or 2K
o Paper rock scissors will determine this
o Unless both opponents agree to one camera
Time/Score Display: On
TWO (2) timeout pauses per game.
NOT ALLOWED:

Old School & All Star teams are NOT ALLOWED






Cherry Picking
Euro step back 3’s
Pausing during opponents free throws
Taking CHARGES before half court
Multiple pump fakes in the post to draw a foul
Playing players out of their position
o Ex. LeBron can only play SF & PF
*Players who fail to comply with these rules will be penalized by the judge.
Code of Conduct:







All contestants will be held responsible for any damaged equipment that is damaged.
Equipment such as:
o Xbox, controllers, and furniture in game room
Supervisor will resolve any conflict between contestants and gameplay as needed and has the
authority to remove anyone who does not follow the rules.
Contestants must follow the Fit & Rec policies of the gym regarding behavioral issues.
NO excessive language
Respect other players
Good sportsmanship is a must
