Student Research-Travel Grant
Ohio State University Marion
Student Travel Grants are intended to support travel for presentations at
professional research meetings. Ohio State University Marion students may apply
for up to $500 to present a paper, poster, performance, or otherwise formally
participate (as defined by the academic discipline) in a professional
conference. As conference attendance is considered a valuable experience, awards
of $200 are also available for students who attend a meeting but not formally
participate.
Requests for funds will be considered on a rolling basis. Students should be
enrolled in coursework at OSU Marion during semester of travel or semester prior
to travel if travel occurs during the summer. Awards are limited to a maximum of
two meetings and $1,000 per student with priority given to those who have not
previously received grant funding.
To apply, students should submit the following materials at least four weeks prior
to dates of travel:

description of meeting (ideally a copy of the meeting announcement)
an itemized budget
letter of recommendation from the faculty advisor
If student is formally participating (i.e., asking for $500), include a copy of
an abstract or description of participation
Application materials can be submitted electronically or as hard copies. Only
