Rafiqul Islam is working as a professor in Mathematics Discipline at Khulna University. He awarded his Ph.D. degree on “Digital Signal and Image Processing by Using Wavelet and Wavelet Packets” in 2012 from University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He also earns his M.S. degree on “Approximation by Wavelets” in 2005 from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. Mr. Islam completed his M.Sc (Applied Mathematics) in 1988 with 1st Class and B.Sc. (Honours) in Mathematics in 1987 with 1st Class from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Haider Ali Biswas has been serving as a Professor of Mathematics at Mathematics Discipline under Science Engineering and Technology School, Khulna University, Bangladesh since 2012 and he presently holds the position of Head of the Discipline. Prof. Biswas obtained his B Sc (Honors) in Mathematics and M Sc in Applied Mathematics in the year 1993 and 1994 respectively from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh, M Phil in Mathematics in the year 2008 from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh and Ph D in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Porto, Portugal in 2013. He has more than 16 years teaching and research experience in the graduate and post-graduate levels at different public universities in Bangladesh. He published two books and more than 70 research papers in the peer reviewed journals and international conferences. Prof. Biswas has worked at several R & D projects in home and abroad as PI and/or Researcher. His present research interests include Optimal Control with State Constraints, Nonsmooth Analysis, Ordinary Differential Equations, Mathematical Modeling, Mathematical Biology and Biomedicine, Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases. He has completed his PhD degree in Fluid Dynamics in 2014 from Rajshahi University of Bangladesh. In the PhD level, the title of his research work was “Study of MHD Free Convection Flow of Fluid of a Vertical Surface”. Dr. Ahmmed has passed his B.Sc. (Hons) in 1994 (held in 1996) in Mathematics and M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics with thesis in Fluid Dynamics in 1995 (held in 1997) from Dhaka University, Bangladesh. He joined as a lecturer in Mathematics Discipline of Khulna University, Bangladesh in 2002. His post was upgraded into Assistant professor in 2005 and then to Associate Professor in 2010. Finally he was promoted to Professor in 2014. His current research interest fields are: (i) External Flow: Heat and mass transfer in natural and mixed convection, combined conduction-radiation-convection problem for flow of Newtonian fluid, thermo-micropolar fluid, magnetohydrodynamic convection flow, convection of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluid through porous media. She holds a PhD degree in Telecommunications from the MAP-TELE Doctoral programme, which is a joint Doctoral program between University of Minho, University of Aveiro and University of Porto, Portugal since 2013. Dr. Ara’s PhD research project builds upon the information-theoretic security foundations to analyze, design and optimization schemes, or in a broader sense, transmission schemes, for wireless communications systems, exploring also their applications in current standards for wireless systems such as WiFi and WiMax. She was a research visitor at University College London (UCL), UK, 2012. She was also a researcher at the Institute of Telecommunications (IT), Porto, Portugal between 2009 to 2013. Dr. Ara has finished her BSc and MSc degree from Mathematics Discipline, Khulna University, Khulna, Bangladesh. After finishing her MSc, she joined as a lecturer in the same discipline. Mr. Islam has joined as a Lecturer in Mathematics Discipline of Khulna University Bangladesh in 10th of September 2008 after completing his B.Sc. and M.Sc. studies from there. He has promoted as an Assistant Professor on 10th of September 2010 and an Associate Professor on 10th of September 2015. His main area of research involves the study of the behavior of various types of fluids like air, gas, water, sand etc. He is generally used Finite Difference Method (FDM) to solve nonsimilar partial differential equations which involved into the mathematical models related to the fluid flow. Mr. Islam is now working with Discrete Element Method (DEM) for analyzing the behavior of various types of particles processing in industries.
