Sessions are scheduled throughout the conference from Thursday, August 4th through Saturday, August 6th. Please do not submit a proposal unless
you are prepared to attend, make a presentation, and appear during your scheduled session. Individuals must be NDS members (or members of a
partner organization) and must pay the conference registration fee. NDS will not be able to financially support presenters. Therefore, if selected to
present at the conference, presenters need to be prepared to cover their own expenses.

Abstract/Objectives Form
This form must be completed for the proposal to be considered for presentation. It should be prepared for blind review so
that it does not include any identifying information such as the presenter’s name, school, or worksite. The form should be on a
separate page attached to the application.

NDS Guidelines for Presenters
The NDS annual conference is designed to provide members the opportunity to share their ideas, research,
performance, and issues with fellow colleagues. Proposals will be reviewed by a panel of professionals prior to
selection to ensure a creative and varied conference for all participants.
Guidelines:
1. Presenters must be members of NDS or members of partner organizations (e.g., TAHPERD, VAHPERD,
Connecticut AHPERD, SHAPE Florida, or Maine AHPERD).
2. No presenter will be paid or receive an honorarium.
3. All presenters are responsible for their own travel expenses.
4. Each presenter must register and pay conference fees.
5. Presenters are responsible for providing participant copies of any handouts needed during their presentations.
6. The distribution or sale of promotional materials, copyrighted materials (books, Cd’s, etc.) during conference
sessions is prohibited. Sale of items is strictly reserved to those companies who sell items in the exhibit area.
7. Presenters must consider and abide by standards of safety when presenting. In consideration of liability issues,
the Conference Directors and/or appropriate NDS officers may terminate any program deemed unsafe for
participants.
