We are excited to announce the inaugural Blitz Coaches Clinic on
January 24th and 25th, 2014 in Franklin, TN. The clinic is hosted
by Brian Rector and the Centennial High School Quarterback Club.
This will be an excellent opportunity for you and your staff to learn
football for high school coaches. The Clinic is designed by and
for high school coaches! W e will feature some great speakers from
Tennessee, Kentucky and Florida that have great experience with topics on
offense, defense, special teams and weight training.
The clinic is located a few miles from downtown Nashville and close
to historic downtown Franklin. Historic Franklin was voted one of the
top 5 small towns in America by Southern Living.
The hotel host will be the Drury Plaza in Cool Springs located right by
Centennial High School off of I-65, exit 67. All proceeds from the
clinic will benefit the Centennial High School Quarterback Club and is
hosted by Coach Brian Rector of Centennial High School.
Coaches consider brining your wives and enjoy the weekend, as
shops, great restaurants and the Cools Springs Mall are all just
around the corner!



Speakers Bios
Donnie Webb: Coach Webb has 20 years of coaching experience with 7
yrs. as a head coach. (Henry County and Franklin High) He has been a
part of one state champion (98) and two state runner-ups (04,08) as a
defensive coordinator. He has coached in Williamson County the past 10
years (8 years as an assistant-FHS and BGA, and 2 years as the head
coach at FHS)
Will Hester: Head Football Coach at Ravenwood High School in
Brentwood, Tn. Coach Hester has 16 years of coaching experience
all in Tennessee. He has been a Defensive Coordinator, Offensive
Coordinator, and a Head Coach. After taking over the Ravenwood
Program in January of 2013, he led the Raptors to a 10-2 season in
his first year. During that year the team broke 5 single season
offensive records.
Mike Marciano: Entering his 18th year of coaching football, both at
the high school and collegiate level. Mike began his career at
Cumberland College (presently University of the
Cumberlands). From there he moved to Ft. Myers Florida where he
took over his Alma Mater, Bishop Verot High School. In 2007, Mike
joined the coaching staff at Ft. Campbell High School, KY, where the
Falcons won the 2007, 2008 and 2009 State Championships. Mike
then moved on to Clarksville Academy, TN to coach his son and was
able to win the school's first district title since it's return to
football. Mike is presently the Head Football Coach at Canterbury
School, (Ft. Myers, FL), where he is also the Strength and
Conditioning Coordinator for the school.
Mike Jackson: Became head coach at 27 at Oldham County
HS where he was named Ky 4A coach of the year twice. He then
took over the program at Pikeville HS for three years before moving
to Louisville to become the head coach at 6A Ballard HS. Overall his
teams have won 70% of their games and he has been named District
Coach of the Year seven times.
Steve Matthews: Coach Matthews is in his first year as Head Coach
at Knoxville Catholic after high school coaching stints as OC
at Siegel High in Murfreesboro, Head Coach at Moore County, and
assistant at Tullahoma. Coach Matthews has also coached arena
football after a 5 year playing stint in the NFL as QB for the
Tennessee Oilers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Kansas City Chiefs. His
collegiate career was played both at Tennessee and Memphis as a
standout QB.
Brett Taveau: Coach Taveau started his coaching career in 2005 at
the quarterbacks coach at Liberty High School, a suburb of Kansas
City, MO. He stayed in that post until 2010, when he moved to
Tennessee to become the quarterbacks coach and passing game
coordinator at Centennial High School. In 2012, he was promoted to
offensive coordinator and is still currently serving in that
capacity. Coach Taveau is a Level Two Certified Quarterback Coach
for National Football Academies, which is a company that conducts
football camps across the country.
Ron Crawford: The Head Coach in his second year at Cleveland
High School, TN with a Career Record 116-54 in 14 seasons as
Head Coach, and a Playoff-record of 19-11. He has been named
Region/District Champion 7 times in 10 years at Brentwood High
School with 6 Quarterfinal appearances, 3 semi-final appearances
and 1 State Championship. In his time as Defensive Coordinator at
Riverdale High School 1995-2001 he was instrumental in
accomplishing 2 State Championships and 2 State Runner-ups. He
has been Teaching and Coaching 29 years and his Father, Tom
Crawford has been a High School Coach over 40 years.
Brandon Smith: Won 3 State Championships as a Player at Boyle
County High School and played QB at WKU from 2005-2009. He is
the current Defensive Coordinator at South Warren High School in
Bowling Green, KY, a new school that opened in 2010 with varsity
playing starting in 2011. As head of the defense the Spartans in
2013 they ranked 1st in points against, 2nd all-time in the state in
rushing yds allowed at 17.1 and total points against at 1015 for the
season.
Scott Cummings: Coach Cummings is the Head Coach at Knoxville
West and has as his accomplishments the 2010 prepxtra coach of
year. Region coach of year 3 times. State semifinals 2010 and 2011.
State championship game 2013. Defenses have achieved 43
takeaways in 2010 which is 3rd in state history and 39 takeaways in
2013. 39 sacks in 2011, 31 in 2012, and 45 in 2013.
