-Yes, as I have said before, I like riding a bike, going to mountains, going for a walk.
But I like also dancing, and that helped me a lot, at the same time I was enjoying ,
having fun and losing weight.
-Have you stopped eating something in order to lose weight?

AN INTERVIEW WITH MAŁGORZATA (A TEACHER)
ŁAGIEWNIKI, POLAND
- How long have you been on diet?
-I started 6 months ago and now I’m on the half way. It wasn't easy at the beginning...
-Why?
- When you decide to start diet you have to be 100% determined. If you want to succeed you
can’t afford for a moment of weakness. It can destroy everything you have achieved. I
remember when I found an article about “cheating days”. Have you ever heard about them?
-No. What’s that?
- According to some dieticians people on diet should let themselves, from time to time, eat
some of forbidden products. Such as chocolate, cheeseburgers or pizzas. It should help them
control their hunger.
- Sounds great!
- Yeah. I was so happy when I found this article! My first “cheating day” is one of my best
memories. I still can feel a taste of this cake I ate that day. It was so sweet, soft and delicious!
But there was a small problem...
-What happened?
-You know. At the beginning I let myself for one “cheating day” per two weeks. After some
time there were three such days at the same period and finally.... I returned to all my bad
habits. It was a bit depressing. But very motivating at the same time.
-Oh. What did you learn?
- That there is no shortcuts. If I want to lose some weight I have to be very careful and strict.
And I had to change my point of view. Diet cannot be my enemy. It’s just a tool which I can
use to feel better and improve a quality of my life.

Nr projektu 2015-1-TR01-KA219-022430_4
- You’re right. I’m happy you didn't give up after this failure. Can I ask how many kilos
have you lost?
-About 30 kilos.
-My congratulations! What have you changed in your diet for good?
-My biggest change was replacing all snacks with vegetables... And I divided my three big
meals to five smaller. I also follow the tips I have learnt during the Erasmus+ project at our
school. I often eat salads and healthy sandwiches, I drink lots of water every day.
-You look very happy now. Is there anything you want to share with other people?
-Yes. Don’t give up! And remember: every gram of kilo less is one step closer to healthy
body.

We are the countries which take part in an Erasmus+ project called
“Yes for traditional dishes-no more obesity!”. Since September 2015
we have undertaken many different tasks to promote healthy food
and lifestyles among teachers, students and local community.
We promote our traditional food and show its benefits as a
contradiction to fast food. We also encourage people to spend free time
in an active way- riding a bike, dancing, walking, playing outdoor
games. Among all these, we try to convince everybody that drinking
water instead of sweet drinks is crucial for staying healthy and fit.
We have been also working hard to lower BMI’s of people who weigh
too much. During the time of the project many people from our schools
have undertaken different diets or restricted their eating habits. We have
interviewed some of them to show others how spectacular the changes
can be if you eat less and move more  They can easily say ….
