Proposal Submission Requirements
We ask that your proposal address the following:
A.
Choice of Topic and Statement of the Issue
This is strictly limited to the four stated topics. It is permissible to submit proposals for
more than one topic. However, all support information must be included in each
submission.
B.
Information about the Faculty
Please provide contact information and a brief biographical sketch on each of the faculty
members. The main faculty must be an ACHE member. Please include teaching
experience and any teaching awards. If the main faculty is a consultant or holds an
academic position, we require that the co-faculty be a full-time healthcare practitioner.
No more than two faculty members are permitted.
Once the award is accepted, faculty substitutions may only occur in emergency
situations.
Relevant Faculty and Presentation Experience
ACHE prides itself on both the content knowledge and speaking abilities of our entire
faculty. It is critical that the awarded faculty have the skills necessary to keep the
attention of a senior-level audience for 12 contact hours of education.
Submit a listing of current educational programs that you have presented (regardless of
the program length) and a list of those we may contact to speak to the effectiveness of
each.
C.
Focus of your Presentation
It is imperative that the proposed educational program:
Be of size and scope that fits within a 12 contact hour (2 day) seminar
Be timely, relevant and transferable
Contain practical approaches, budgets and processes that most healthcare
providers could utilize
Be non-commercial in nature
Be positioned to interest and satisfy a C-Suite audience
Evidence of each of the above criteria must be included in the proposal

Educational Content and Outcomes
The proposal must contain:
A clear definition of the problem as it impacts the operations of our audience
A description of the educational session in terms of changes in content
knowledge, new behaviors, skills or tools acquired
Clearly delineated educational objectives and a listing of short and long term
outcomes for the learner
The teaching modalities (lecture, case analyses, simulations, etc.) that will be used
to achieve the stated outcomes. Interactive exercises and case studies are
encouraged
The strong likelihood that a viable seminar can be developed and delivered within
three months of the date of the award. Please provide a developmental timeline.
A one to two page outline of the proposed educational session
An agenda/timeline of topics
F.
Letters of Support
Please provide two recent letters of support for each proposed faculty member. These
letters should address content knowledge, speaking ability and professionalism.
G.
Developmental Budget
Present a detailed budget and chronological schedule of expenses. It should be
understood if the actual expenses exceed the grant amount, the recipient or his or her
organization will assume all additional costs.
H.
Selection Procedure
Submitted proposals will first be evaluated for completeness. Those proposals that do not
address all stated requirements will be rejected and no further evaluation will occur.
Complete proposals will first be vetted by a review committee. Grant awardees will be
invited to Chicago to make a live presentation if needed.

Seminar Scheduling
All faculty must have the scheduling flexibility to speak at ACHE Cluster Programs.
Clusters are offered nationwide and we will typically provide six months lead time for the

Proposal Submission and Deadline
Proposals must be received no later than 5pm Central time, March 23, 2016. All proposals
must be submitted via ACHE’s Online Submission Tool http://achesubmissions.hubb.me/
