This is the ninth of ten meetings on the season between the Wolf Pack and the Providence Bruins, top affiliate of the Boston Bruins, the
last of five visits by the P-Bruins to the XL Center and the third of three straight games in the season series here in Hartford. The Wolf
Pack are 3-4-0-1 thus far vs. the Bruins, after having won two of the last three head-to-head battles, and the two clubs have split four
previous XL Center meetings this year. Providence rookie Peter Cehlarik is the leading scorer in this year’s season series, with 3-6-9,
and Adam Tambellini tops Wolf Pack scorers with 3-2-5. In the all-time series vs. Providence, the Wolf Pack has a record of 86(W)60(L)-8(T)-11(OTL)-7(SOL) in 172 meetings, with a mark of 46(W)-28(L)-5(T)-5(OTL)-2(SOL) at home.
Wolf Pack Notebook:
The Wolf Pack (22-38-4-2, 50 pts., .379) snapped an 0-8-1-0 drought last night, with a 4-3 win here at the XL Center over the Bridgeport
Sound Tigers. Michael Joly led the way with two goals, including the game-winner, and an assist, for his first career AHL multiple-goal
game and first three-point outing in the AHL. Ryan Graves also scored, and Ty Ronning tallied his first pro goal, after posting an
assist in his pro debut Friday night vs. the Bruins. Marek Hrivik had three assists, giving him 2-7-9 in the last six games, and Taylor
Beck now has 3-6-9 in the last five games, after chipping in an assist. Dan Catenacci also had a helper, and has 1-3-4 in the last five
contests. Mackenzie Skapski got the win in net with 27 saves.
Bruins Notebook:
The Bruins (38-19-5-4, 85 pts., .644) moved into third place in the Atlantic Division yesterday with a 5-0 win at Albany, after defeating
the Wolf Pack 3-1 here at the XL Center on Friday night. Rookie goaltender Dan Vladar stopped all 34 shots he faced yesterday, for
his first pro shutout, the Bruins’ fifth shutout of the year as a team. Providence, which has won four of its last five games, broke the
game open with four second-period goals, and Austin Czarnik, Colton Hargrove and Peter Cehlarik had a goal and an assist each.
Alex Grant, and Danton Heinen also scored for the Bruins, and Wayne Simpson, Colby Cave and Jake DeBrusk chipped in two
assists apiece.

New York Rangers Notebook:
The parent New York Rangers (46-25-4, 96 pts.) continue a three-game California road trip tonight in Anaheim (9:00), after a 3-0 win at
Los Angeles last night. Antti Raanta made 30 saves to get the shutout for New York against the Kings, and Derek Stepan scored
what would prove to be the game-winner in the second period, Ryan McDonagh tallied a power-play goal in the third and Rick Nash
added an empty-netter. Mika Zibanejad and Mats Zuccarello had two assists apiece. After tonight, the Rangers finish their California
swing in San Jose Tuesday (10:30), before returning home to host Pittsburgh Friday night (7:00).
