Weekly Notes:
AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL: Alexi Castro broke her own school record for points in a game after exploding for 41 points versus
Bryant on Saturday. The rebound she grabbed before making the game-winning shot versus the Bulldogs was the 500th of her career at
American International and the 780th of her collegiate career. Castro set the previous mark of 38 points in a game when the Yellow Jackets
defeated Southern Connecticut, 67-57, on Dec. 8, 2007.
BENTLEY: The next victory for Bentley's Barbara Stevens will make her just the sixth NCAA women's basketball coach to amass 750 career
victories. Bentley, as a program, is two wins shy of 800 all-time, a plateau only one other Division II team has achieved (Delta State).
FRANKLIN PIERCE: Sophomore All-American Johannah Leedham became just the fourth student-athlete in program history to earn
ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District honors with her selection to the first team last week. She also became just the second player in
program history to reach 500 points in multiple and back-to-back seasons when he reach the mark at Saint Anselm on Saturday. Leedham
joins Shelia Lindsay, who scored 500-plus points all four years at Franklin Pierce from 1984-88.
SAINT ROSE: With 12 rebounds on Saturday, senior forward Emily Gottstein moved into 15th place on the all-time list at the College
with 607 career boards. She has also registered six double-doubles throughout the past eight contests.
STONEHILL: The win over Bentley gave Stonehill a regular season sweep over the Falcons for the first time since 1994-95. Junior Kelsey
Simonds, already in sole possession of fourth place on the school's all-time blocks list, needs only three more rejections to join the 100-block
club.
