What Win a Christmas Dinner a Day Facebook Competition run by Luas?
The Win A Christmas Dinner A Day competition…. Is a competition run by Luas on the Luas
Facebook page – www.facebook.com/luas. Entrants can enter via Facebook by following a
link to the competition on the Luas facebook page which will enter them in a daily draw each
day in November 2011 to win one of 30 Christmas Dinner Hampers.
How to do I enter this competition?
You enter by logging on to Facebook and either searching for ‘Luas’ in the search box in t he
top left corner of Facebook or type in the url www.facebook.com/luas. This will bring you to
the Luas Facebook page whereby you can enter by clicking on the competition link on the left
hand side of the page (circled in red below) or by click on a url link in postings that appear on
the Newsfeed that relate to the competition.
When this link is clicked on it will bring potential entrants to a new page whereby they can
click on the green button that says ‘enter sweepstakes’

Once this ‘enter sweepstakes button has been clicked on a new page will appear asking
entrants for permission to access their Facebook information for the purposes of the
competition To enter the competition, entrants must click on the ‘allow’ button

Once entrants have clicked ‘allow’ they are brought to a new page where they must fill in their
contact details, and click on the ‘submit’ button at the bottom of the page.
Once the ‘submit’ button has been clicked on all entrants will get a submission confirmation
message on screen and also will be sent a confirmation of entrant email to the email address
they submitted. Facebook offers the option for entrants to share the competition information
with their Facebook friends

How do I know that my entry worked?
All entrants who have followed the correct instructions will receive an acknowledgement email
from RPA via the WildfireApp. (see example below)
Do I have to pay to enter this competition?
No all entries and acknowledgement in response to entry messages are free. No purchase is
necessary to enter this competition
Do I have to have a Facebook Account to enter this competition?
You do need a Facebook account to enter this competition
Do I need to be a certain age to enter this competition?
Yes you must be over 13 years of age to enter this competition as Facebook prohibits users
under 13 years of age from having Facebook accounts.
I entered the competition but I didn’t receive an acknowledgment email.
Check that the acknowledgement email that comes from - [email protected] – is
not in your spam filter. If it is not you may have entered your email address incorrectly.
What are the prizes for this competition?
The prizes are 30 Christmas Dinner Hampers that feed 6-8 people. One hamper will be given
away each day in November. Winner’s names will be published on Facebook everyday once
they have been confirmed with RPA .
What does the hamper contain?
The Christmas Hamper prizes have 4 courses and contain the following items:







Burren Smokehouse organic Clare Island oak smoked Irish salmon with a honey,
lemon & mustard dressing
Roast parsnip soup
Crusty bread
1 x Turkey
Classic thyme stuffing & turkey gravy
1 x Gammon (ham)
Wild cranberry sauce

Brussels sprouts and smoked bacon lardons
Glazed carrots with rosemary butter
Maris Piper roast potatoes & goose fat
Plum pudding with “Hennessey” brandy butter
The Christmas Hamper prizes are supplied by Christmasmadeeasy.ie and they are
responsible for delivery of all hampers to an address supplied by winners on December 6th for
delivery on December 23rd 2011. All hampers come with full cooking instructions that are
supplied by Christmasmade.ie. RPA is not responsible for the delivery or the contents of the
hampers.
How many times can I enter this competition?
Only one entry per Facebook account entering multiple times will not increase your chances
of winning, unless you enter using a different Facebook account. No Cash alternatives will
offered to the winner and the content of the prizes may be subject to change at the discretion
of the RPA.
How are winners selected?
Winners are selected at random each day in November by an RPA representative. All entries
are entered in the sweepstakes each day. Judges decision is final.
How are the prizes matched to winners?
RPA representative will text or telephone winners informing them that they have won and will
get there preferred delivery address for December 23rd. Final addresses will be sent to
Christmasmadeeasy for December 6th. Delivery addresses cannot be altered after this date.
Once winners are confirmed we will publish their name (only) on the Luas newsfeed and state
that they are that day’s daily winner.
How do I remove my details from Luas’s database and opt out?
You can opt out of the database at anytime by replying to the acknowledgement email
received by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the email.
When does the competition start and end?
The competition starts on Tuesday November 1st and finishes at midnight on Wednesday
November 30th 2011. Entries that are received before or after these dates will not be valid to
be entered into the prize draw.
