Modified Formats*: formats different from
traditional brackets:
MFiC: Modified Feed-in Consolation: a draw in which
players who lose in the main draw are fed back into
another draw against players who lost in earlier
rounds of the tournament.
Round-robin events:
Another player-friendly format,
these draws guarantee competitors multiple matches
as they play against every other player in their draw
or flight. Flights typically consist of three to four players/teams.
Colorado State MOJO format has yet to be
determined.

RMTC Tournament Philosophy
At RMTC, we believe in giving all players, regardless
of level, a chance to play the same amount of tennis
regardless of results. In normal formats, tournaments
are set up such that players who succeed in early
rounds receive opportunities to play more matches
and acquire more experience. Players who don't
advance are not given this opportunity. This then
quickly widens the gap in competitive skill between
the players who get more matchplay opportunities
and players who don't. Ultimately, the more experienced players work themselves out of local competition much more quickly due to this gap. At RMTC,
we make it possible for less experienced players to
receive matchplay opportunities at the same rate as
players who advance in main draw competition. Our
goal is ultimately to afford each player that enters
our tournaments the same amount of competitive
experiences.
