Summer means TEE-BALL & COACH PITCH LEAGUE! Come join us for fun in the sun as we learn through play.
Volunteer parent coaches will run the games and teach the skills necessary to grow and enjoy the sport. Coaches will instruct and
pitch to players as they progress from hitting off the tee. Each field will have one supervisor to keep the game on-time and moving along.
There are 3 DIVISIONS and your child can progress year-to-year as they mature. No extra practices for T-Ball/Coach Pitch—your
commitment is strictly 2 nights per week—no weekends. Games will be played Monday-Thursday evenings (usually 2 games per week).

COACHES: We need 2 parents assigned to coach each team. We DO NOT schedule additional practices for this league—your
commitment is twice a week. The kids learn while playing. Coaches will instruct and pitch to the players as they progress from hitting off the
tee. The Recreation Dept. approves and makes all coaching assignments. Coaches will be confirmed by Supervisor, Shirley Verbanik, in late
May and asked to attend the Coaches Meeting at the Civic Center, Wednesday, May 31 (Division 1 at 6:30pm & Division 2 & 3 at 7:15pm) and
then to contact the players on their team regarding the schedule. Note: ALL VOLUNTEER COACHES will be background checked in order to
participate. Background check authorization form is online at www.rrcity.com or at the Civic Center. Please complete the form and
return it to the Civic Center by MAY 31.
ATTIRE: All players and coaches must wear appropriate footwear—sneakers and cleats are acceptable. NO SANDALS, CLOGS, OR
BARE FEET permitted. Players will receive a team cap to wear to all games. Be sure to bring a water bottle and clearly mark your child’s
name on ALL equipment.
SCHEDULE & DESCRIPTION OF EACH DIVISION: For safety reasons, please adhere to the following age/grade divisions.
#51 Division 1—Entering Kindergarten (Must be 5 years old by September 30, 2017— NO EXCEPTIONS!)
Children will learn the fundamentals of throwing, catching and hitting off a batting “tee” AND progress to pitched balls. Coaches will
instruct and pitch.
#52 Division 2—Completed Kindergarten (in June 2017)
#53 Division 3—Completed Grade 1* and Grade 2* (in June 2017)
Players will play expanded rules and parent coaches will pitch, instruct and umpire the games.
*Gr. 1 & 2 OPTION: children who have completed grades 1 or 2 may choose to register for Pee Wee Baseball if they wish to commit
to weekend games and extra practices (cannot do both).
All teams are co-ed. All players receive a Major League Team Cap! The office reserves the right to request proof of age/grade level if
the staff believes your child is registered in the wrong division. Thank you.
Season: Games begin week of June 5: teams generally play two games a week on weekday evenings. Season will end with
“SUPER SATURDAY” on July 8 at the Rocky River Little League Fields.
Game times: Scheduled to start between 5:30-7:30 PM
Locations: High School Fields—access from Wagar Rd. parking lot.
Final schedules will depend on the number of teams. All players will be called by their coaches between June 1-4 with team
assignment and first game date. Schedules will be passed out at the first game.
