Setting Up Preferences in Xactimate 28 2016
Go to the Control Center tab, and choose Preferences, and pick Environment from the drop down. Then
click on General. Make sure that you CHECK the box that says “Request Service Packs when
connecting.”
Click on the drop down arrow at the end of the Settings box, and choose Profile from the drop down
menu.
Then click on the drop down arrows for the Profile box and choose American Family, and in the Users
box, choose All Users.
Make your setting match these, exactly!
Click the dropdown arrow for Company Header. In the Company Header SmartList, select AMFAMCAT
then click Edit. Verify that the info is correct. It should look like this.
Click the dropdown arrow for Claim Rep. In the Claim Rep SmartList, Click Add then enter your name.
Don’t enter your phone number. Enter the following phone number: (866) 881-4318
On the left hand side, choose Model Statements. Model Opening statements have changed this year.
Now there is a specific Opening statement for each state. You must pick the statement for the state you
are currently working. On the right side click the drop down arrow for Opening Model statement.
Pick the state you are currently working in, and then click OK. If you are working more than one state,
leave this setting to NONE, but be sure to choose the correct statement on each file.
Next set the closing statement. The closing stement is not state specific, so you only have to set this
once. Click on the drop down arrow for Closing Statement.
Now, choose AF CLOSING and click OK.
Now, go to Document – under Sketch, on the left hand side. Make your settings match the ones below,
exactly.
Click View – under Sketch on the left hand side. Make your settings match these exactly!
Now, click Door and Window Defaults – under Sketch. Make your settings match these exactly!
Next, choose Flooring Properties and make your settingings match these exactly.
