Anyone who would like to coach must complete the (generally) free background checks described below prior to
volunteering.
Coaching clearances are now required for all volunteers per state law. All of the info you need to complete them is
below. They are free if you have lived in PA for the last 10 years. Please see the documents below if you have any
questions.
Instruction for obtaining clearances under the PA Child Protective Services Law is included in the document below. To
be exempted from fees, you will need to indicate that you are a VOLUNTEER. You should designate the Organization as
Hershey Youth Flag Football League (phone 717-350-6223).
Three clearances are generally required, unless you have been a PA resident for 10 years and can sign the "required
disclosure statement for volunteers exempt from fingerprinting" attached below. In this case, you will need two
clearances and submit the required disclosure statement below.
ACTIONS REQUIRED: Once you have satisfied your 3 clearances, please scan them, into a single document and email
them along with a brief history of your coaching / playing experience and why you would like to coach to John Arndt at:
[email protected]. Please place your name and “Coaching Clearances” in the email subject line. All
coaching applicants must satisfy these to be considered for coaching positions.
