Mimi Adams, Esq. Bio
Mimi Adams is a special education attorney practicing privately
in San Diego County. Adams is also an Adjunct Professor of Law
and Supervising Attorney for the Education and Disability Clinic
at the USD School of Law. In 2004, Adams received the State Bar
of California CYLA Jack Berman Award of Achievement for
Distinguished Service to the Profession and the Public. She is
also a two-time awardee of the State Bar of California’s Wiley
W. Manual Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services in recognition
for her volunteer time and expertise provided on behalf of lowincome clients. She also has served as a Member of the Office of
Administrative Hearings’ Special Education Advisory Committee,
providing non-binding recommendations for improvements to
OAH’s special education hearing and mediation processes.
Adams also has been a Board Member of the COMPASS Family Center as well as Kids Included
Together (KIT).
