SUPERSPRINT SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS
SUNDAY, 15th March 2015
AUTHORITY:
The event will be conducted under the International
Sporting Code of the FIA, the National Competition
Rules (NCR) of the Confederation of Australian Motor
Sport Ltd (CAMS), the Speed Event Standing
Regulations, the 2015 CAMS Junior Series
Regulations, these Supplementary Regulations and any
Further Regulations or instructions which may be
issued. The event will be held under and in accordance
with the CAMS OH&S and Risk Management Policies,
which can be found at www.cams.com.au The CAMS
permit number for the event is: 315/1503/03
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The event will be a Multi-club, Multi-car, SuperSprint to
be conducted at RAAF Base East Sale on Sunday, 15th
March 2015. The event will be a round of the CAMS
Junior Series 2015.

INSURANCE:
1. CAMS Public Risk Insurance has been affected by
the promoters.
2. All competitors and officials are covered by CAMS
Personal Accident Insurance policy. For further details
see Appendix I (current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport).
ENTRIES:
1. Entries open upon publication of these
Supplementary Regulations and close, post-marked,
Friday, 6th March, 2015.
2. Entry fees will be as follows:
Adult entry $90,
Junior entry $50 (<18 years on day of competition)
Note: Entries or money be will not be accepted on
the day.
3. The event will be strictly limited to the first 100
entries received and will be accepted in order of
receipt.
4. Only two drivers in any one car will be accepted and
only one entry per driver will be accepted.
5. Cheques and money orders should be made payable
to the "RAAF Auto Club of East Sale".

7. Entry Acceptance. Entry acceptance along with
grid grouping and any other additional information will
be notified as soon as possible following the entry
closing date. Entries may be refused in accordance
with NCR 83-85 of the current CAMS Manual of Motor
Sport.
8. Entry Withdrawal. Where notification of entry
withdrawal is provided to the Event Secretary by phone
or email no later than 48 hours prior to the event
commencing, RACES will refund the entry fee less a
$15 administration charge.
COMPETITION:
1. The event will be run as a SuperSprint with a
maximum of 6 cars on the track at any one time,
starting in pairs at approximately 15 second intervals.
2. Competition will consist of a number of runs of 3
flying laps of the circuit.
Class winners will be
determined by averaging the 3 fastest laps recorded
for each competitor from all runs.
3. Timing will be to 1/100th of a second using a
computer based system. Timekeeper is deemed Judge
of Fact.
4. Track reconnaissance/observation will take place
between 0730am and 0900am for cars that have
passed scrutiny. (Note: This is NOT a practice session
and groups of cars will be led by the Clerk of Course
vehicle).
5. The circuit will be closed at 1800hours.
CLASSES & AWARDS:
Trophies and/or goods will be presented to the
winners of the following classes:
Class A - Unmodified vehicles
Class B - Modified Vehicles: 0 - 2000cc
Class C - Modified Vehicles: 2001cc - 3000cc
Class D - Modified Vehicles: over 3000cc
Class E – Sports Sedans: 0 – 3000cc
Class F - Sports Sedans: over 3000ccc
Class G – Open wheeled cars and cars not applicable
to classes A to F.
Note 1: Vehicles in Class A shall be un-modified and
conform to the Manufacturers’ specifications for the
model entered.
Note 2: Vehicles entering Classes C to G must comply
with the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport - General
Requirements of Automobiles Schedules A & B and any
additional requirements of the Group/Category of
vehicle entered and/or conform to the requirements of
Category 2 or 3 vehicles in accordance with the current
CAMS Manual of Motor Sport and Bulletins issued up to
the date of this event.
Note 3: Modified Vehicles may include CAMS Category
3 vehicles for example: Improved Production cars, HQ’s
and Saloon Cars which have treaded tyres as specified
by the category or from the CAMS, Schedule E Production Car Tyre List.
Note 4: ‘Sports Sedans’ may include CAMS Category 2
cars and includes vehicles which have any of the
following modifications: slick tyres, ‘space frame’
chassis, engines not from the same manufacturer as the
vehicle body, etc.
Note 5: Junior competitors must be aged 14 but not
turned 18 on the day of competition. The following
calculation will be used: Junior fastest average time
divided by the fastest average time for the class they
are competing in as a percentage. The lowest
percentage will be the class winner.
GENERAL:
1. Competitors must present their current Club
membership card (CAMS affiliated club), CAMS licence
(Min. Level 2S/2SJ), vehicle Log Books if issued and
Competition Records to the Office prior to their cars
being scrutineered. Any competitor not booked-in by
0900 am will be considered a non-starter.
2. Competitors are reminded that this event is a
SuperSprint and not a motor race. Competitors who do
not comply with the aim of the event may, at the
discretion of the Stewards, be excluded from the event.
Overtaking is allowed only on the straight sections
of the track before any braking markers and not
whilst cars are under brakes for a corner.
3. All competitors whilst competing must wear apparel,
including helmets, in accordance with the current CAMS
Manual of Motorsport Schedule D.
4. Any competitor exceeding 15 kph in the paddock
area will be excluded from further competition.
5. All Competitors and Officials must attend the
Driver's Briefing to be held at 0900 am.
6. Competitors who depart from the defined track or
who attempt to gain advantage by displacing track
layout items may have their times, for the laps in
question, disallowed by the Stewards.
SCRUTINY:
1. Scrutiny will take place between 0730 am and
0900 am. Log books, if issued, must be presented.
2. To protect the Base airfield from undue amounts of
foreign objects all vehicles presented to Scrutiny must
be in a clean and tidy condition
3. Vehicle numbers are to be clearly displayed on both
sides of the vehicle.
4. Fuel must be in accordance with Schedule G of the
current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport.
5. All vehicles must be adequately muffled (95dB limit).
ABANDONMENT:
The organisers reserve the right to postpone, abandon
or cancel the event if in their opinion the number of
entries is insufficient or by force majeure in accordance
with NCR 59 of the current CAMS Manual of Motor
Sport.
PROTESTS:
Any protests must be lodged in accordance with Part
XII of the current NCR.
CATERING:
Catering will be available on the day with breakfast
being served from 0730.
PRESENTATION:
The presentation to provisional class winners will take
place at the RACES Clubhouse following the meeting.
SECURITY:
This event is being held on a military establishment.
Competitors must remain within the SuperSprint event
area. Access to other areas of the Base is not
permitted. Failure to abide by these requirements may
result in apprehension by security personnel and
subsequent removal from the Base.
Entry to the Base will be restricted to those persons
nominated on the official Entry Form by the competitor
as a bona-fide supporter of the competitor. Supporters
should be those persons whose credentials can be
established by production of photographic ID or other
formal documentation.
