Keene – 240
The JV golf team traveled to Keene on Tuesday and came away
winners. The final match results were PA 214 and Keene 240. Cam
Leppert was the medalist for the match carding a 40 at the
Bretwood Country Club.Nick Tufts(41), Cam Maher(42), PJ
Daniele(45) and Matt Miloro (46)provided excellent support. The
JV's now stand at 9-2 on the season and travel to Londonderry for
a 3:30 match at the Hidden Creek Golf Course.

Londonderry - 276
The JV golf team finished off the regular season on Wednesday at
Hidden Creek in Litchfield. Final match results were PA 199 and
Londonderry 276. The Astros continued their excellent play on a
difficult golf course. CJ LeBonville was the Medalist for the match
coming in at 37. The other low finishers for PA were Nick Tufts
(39), Cam Leppert (41), Matt MacDougal (41) and Kyle Raspuzzi
(41). The team finishes the regular season with a record of 10-2.
PA will host the state JV golf tournament next Tuesday at the
Hoodkroft Country Club. The tournament will start at 9 am.

Nice job from Danielle Martineau and Savanah Poole. The 3 goals
came from Taylor Marchman, Mari Shea and Sarah Amato. Game
ball went to Danielle Martineau. Caitlyn Merrill played great in
goal with one save.

The freshman team played Bishop Guertin and lost 2-1. Our only
goal was scored by Jessica Johnson. Great games were played
Adrienne de Almeida and Maddy Hayes.

1st half Pinkerton Academy scored a goal, Emma Bennett assisted
by Delaney Conway. The 2nd half goal was by Ava Dorci assisted
by Delaney Conway. Rhiannon Palmariello in net with 1 save. The
Varsity Field Hockey team now has a 6-4 record.

Pinkerton Academy 2 – Dover 0
The JV Field Hockey team played an excellent game on Friday.
Goals by Lauren Lisaukas and assisted by Kaylee Connolly. The
second goal was scored by Sarah Amato. Nice hustle from Laura
Martens, Taylor Marchman. The game ball went to Kaylee
Connolly.

Souhegan 2 – Pinkerton Academy 1
Saturday the Freshman Field Hockey team played Souhegan and
lost 2-1. Goal was scored by Adrienne de Almeida. Holly Cardoza
and Alyssa Brooks played a great game.

Pinkerton 2 – Memorial 2
Junior Brian Castle scored both goals (assisted) by Senior tricaptain Cobi Moore, to help the Astros rebound from their Mack
Plaque setback. Sophomore Alex Rust, Jon Tremblay and Zach
Hurley played well for Pinkerton. Sophomore goalkeeper Max
Fairbank made several outstanding saves on the day.

Pinkerton Academy 5 – Memorial 0
Scoring came early and often for boys jv soccer on
Tuesday against Memorial in a 5-0 victory. Goals came from
Henry Andrews, Hunter Rathburn, Matt Small, Alex Beaulieu, and
Andrew Distefino. Memorial was held to 5 shots all game by a
stout defensive effort from The Astros.

Pinkerton Academy 2 – Nashua North 1
The Astros were led by the tri-captains as Cobi Moore had 1 goal,
Sean Muller had the game winning goal and Cole Perry had the
game winning assist. The three helped lead the Astros to an
overtime victory against Nashua North.
JV: Thursday, September 29
Pinkerton Academy 0 – Nashua North 1
The Astros faced off against Nashua North on Thursday. It proved
to be a challenge for JV Boys Soccer team. While dominating time
of possession and out shooting Nashua 17-4, PA was unable to
score in a 0-1 loss.
Girls Soccer:
Varsity: Tuesday, September 27
Pinkerton 3 – Memorial 0
PA travelled to Memorial Tuesday to play the Crusdaers. From the
start the Astros dominated the game. PA had ten corner kicks in
the first half, but was only able to put one ball in the back of the
net. Nicole Alves gave the Astros a 1-0 lead just before the half on
a nice pass from Julia Bousquet. The ball only found its way to
Reagan Kolisnski (the Astros keeper) once in the first half. PA
again controlled the play in the second half and were able to put
two more goals in the net. Reanna Romano and Courtney Velho,
both unassisted, each scored for the Astros to make it a 3-0 final
score.

Pinkerton beat Memorial in girls JV soccer Tuesday afternoon, 61. In the first half, Pinkerton came out strong, scoring three goals.
Mattie Sullivan crossed the ball to Victoria Peguri's feet, who shot.
The goalie deflected it, and Maddie Hayden put it into the back of
the net. Heidi Helf also came up with an assist, crossing to Gabbi
Gagne. Gagne got a second goal from an assist by Sierra Mielens,
yet another cross. In the second half, Pinkerton added three more
goals. Haley Foye added an assist to a Mattie Sullivan goal, and
Emily Johnson and Zoe Vogul both added their first goal of the
season. JV Astros are now 6-3.
Varsity: Thursday, September 29
Pinkerton Academy 3 – Nashua North 0
Pinkerton Academy travelled to Stellos Stadium Thursday to take
on Nashua North. PA had an incredible day of controlling the
game and generating scoring chances. PA outshot NN 31-0,
making the very good NN keeper make 25 saves. In the first half,
Courtney Velho scored the first goal on a beautiful header off of a
corner kick from Mel Roberge. In the second half, Julia Bousquet
scored the second goal assisted by Mel Roberge. A few minutes
later, Adrianna Auch scored the third goal after being set up by
Mel Roberge. That made the score 3-0, and that is how the game
ended. If not for the Nashua Norther keeper, the best by far that
PA has had to face this year, the score would have been much
higher. Mel Roberge had an outstanding game, assisting on all
three goals, and playing great at attacking center midfield.
JV: Pinkerton Academy 3 – Nashua North
The JV Astros advanced to 7-2 Thursday afternoon. At the half
Pinkerton Academy and Nashua North were tied 0-0. In the second
half, the Astros came out strong, scoing within ten minutes.
Victoria Peguri crossed to ball to Ashlee Dubois, who turned and
scored with her left foot for her fifth goal of the season. The game
stayed at 1-0 until the last 10 minutes until the last ten minutes
when Pinkerton Academy added two more. Dubois played to
Haley Foye, who put it passed the keeper and Peguri played
through the ball to Gabrielle Gagne. Tatyana Sullivan made some
huge saves in the net to keep the shutout.

JV Football won 40-0. Nick Lombard was the player of the game
with 4 interceptions!
Sophomore: Wednesday, September 28
Londonderry 20 – Pinkerton 0
We lost today 20-0. McCormick and Fitzgerald played well
offensively and defensively. Cooper and Martinez also played
well.
Freshmen: Thursday, September 29
Pinkerton 18 – Bedford 8
The Astros won 18-8. Chad Teresky rushed for 2 Touchdown.
Domenic Tritto returned an interception for TD to seal the victory.
Connor Colburn also had an interception. William Brown played
well on defense.
Varsity: Friday, September 30
Bedford 37 – Pinkerton Academy 14
Pinkerton Academy Football struggled Friday night against an
undefeated Bedford team. Bedford was ahead 14-0 before the
Astros could get on the scoreboard in the second quarter.
Quarterback, Aidan Goujon threw a pass to Nico Buccieri for a 76
yard catch and run play. At half the score was 14-6. Beford scores
twice more, up 30-6 before Pinkerton scores and competes a 2
point conversion, 30-14. The game ends with a score of 37-14.
Highlights for the game include Aiden Goujon going 10 of 20 on
passing for 130 yards. Nico Buccieri lead Pinkerton Academy with
67 yards on 14 carries. Pinkerton Academy also intercepted 2
passes.

Varsity: Monday, September 26

The Girls Varsity Volleyball team won their third straight match,
beating Memorial 3-0. Hannah Leonard served well and got 15
service points and 3 aces to go along with all 16 digs. Ella
Dandrade contributed 21 digs, 12 service points, and 3 aces from
her libero position. In the kill department, Amelia Graves had 14
while Charlie Bull had 9 and Megan Hough added 5. Setter Sara
Metzger continued her strong play, by picking up 26 assists to go
along with 6 digs and 9 service points.

The Astros played a full three game set against the Memorial
Crusaders but came up shy of the win.
Zoe Dinsmore had 2 kills and one assist on the day. Catherine
Dennehy had 5 assists throughout the match. Emmie Lesburt had
7 assists in Game 2 alone. Brooke Kane led the Astros at the net
with 6 kills and 3 blocks. Brooke Burke also added 3 kills and 4
blocks. Rebekah Stallings had 4 kills on the day. Emily Connors
added 2 kills and 2 aces. Hannah Holland had 3 aces while Ashley
Raiff added 2 more aces for the Astros. Kiley Davis had 2 kills
while Olivia Eskelsen had one ace. The Astros had great streaks of
momentum in this match and look to carry that into their next
match.

The Freshman Girls Volleyball squad headed to Portsmouth on
Monday for their latest game. It seemed as though the long bus
ride had them a little tired, as they dropped their first set by a 9-25
score. They rebounded nicely, though. Taking the second set 2624 and dominating the third set 15-9, to win the match by a 2
games to 1 score.
It was a total team effort, but standing out for the Astros were Jessi
Mitchell, Amilia Johnston, Brooke Stallings and Katie Mitchell.

The Girls Varsity Volleyball team lost a close 3-2 contest to a
strong Alvirne squad on Friday. Setter Sara Metzger had 28 assists
to go with 14 service points and 4 aces. Amelia Graves contributed
with 34 digs. Charlie Bull added 8 kills on the day while both she
and Alivia Connors had 3 blocks. Libero Ella Dandrade had 28
digs and also had 5 aces to go with her 11 service points. Middle
hitter Megan Hough added 4 kills for Pinkerton Academy, who
now stand at 5-6 this season.

Game 1: Alvirne 25 – Pinkerton Academy 8
Game 2: Pinkerton Academy 25 - Alvirne 19
Game 3: Alvirne 15 – Pinkerton Academy 13
The Astros had a very slow start to the match but were truly able to
battle back in the second set to make the match extend into set
three. In set three, the Astros were close to defeat with the Broncos
threatening with just 2 points to go to close the match and a
lengthy lead, but the Astros were able to come back tie it up at 13
before Alvirne got the ball back and the match. Emmie Lesburt led
the Astros offense with 8 setting assists. Zoe Dinsmore &
Catherine Dennehy each added an assist. Dinsmore also had an ace
and a kill. Brooke Kane had 3 kills and a big block in set 3. Brooke
Burke had 4 blocks on the day, 2 kills, and an ace. Kiley Davis &
Emily Connors each added a kill, while Connors also added 3 aces.
Bekah Stallings also had 3 kills for the Astros. The Astros as a
team truly showed some great character in the face of defeat. They
were able to move past a tough loss in the first set and made the
match count. The Astros hope to continue their excellent play in
their match vs. Nashua South.

Girls: Tuesday, September 28, 2016

The Pinkerton Trailblazers competed in a meet at home today
again Dover and Salem High School. The Pinkerton girls took
home the win. The team was led by Trailblazer Maison D'Amelio
who crossed the line in 19:51 for the win. In right after her in 2nd
and 3rd overall were Jordan Vaillancourt and Ciara April. Meghan
Cross and Sadie Farnsworth placed 5th and 6th overall to complete
the low score of 17pts. Captains Bela Fast and Isabella Behm also
had strong races running personal bests on the home course.

The Long Red Line improved its record to 8 - 2 on the season!
Outstanding races turned in by our top three. Leading the way was
new comer senior Kyle Hajj. He took first place honors with
a 16:42 performance! Following close behind was Josh Noe and
Steven Groulx as they placed 2nd and 3rd respectively running
sub 17:00performances. Our fourth and fifth runners placed in the
top ten. Ethan Desmarais and Zach Aham finished strong.
Rounding out the Astro's top seven were Pat Bastek and Liam St.
Ledger.
Athletes of the Week:
Boys Cross Country: Kyle Hajj
Kyle had an excellent week this week taking first in his race on
Tuesday, with a time of 16:42. He helped the Long Red Line win
their race and improve to an 8-2 record this season.
Field Hockey: Ava Dorci
Ava scored in both of varsity field hockey’s games this past week,
helping them improve their record to 6-4. In the first game against
Bishop Guertin, Ava scored the first goal of the game, helping
them win 3-0. In the second game she scored the second half,
winning 2-0.
