Covenant Players On 'Outback Patrol'!
Bart and Pam with students from St. Joseph’s Roman
Catholic School in Barcaldine Queensland
Pam and Bart had the amazing opportunity to
fly with Outback Patrol on a 10-day trip (22
February–3 March 2014) to various outback
communities in Queensland and New South Wales.
Outback Patrol is a wonderful ministry in Australia
that flies ministries to isolated communities in the
outback to spread the Gospel. Directors, Les and
Martha Nixon, have been faithful servants of the
Lord in this ministry for over 50 years.
Outback Patrol has flown Covenant Players
previously on various patrols since 1980. On this
trip we flew 3900 km in 9 days to 15 different
towns on 16 flights. We performed the plays of
Charles M. Tanner for over 1,100 people in our
audiences and gave 20 performances in 5 churches,
1 youth group and 14 schools. It was a blessed and
holy experience and we give thanks to God for the
many people and churches that supported this
mission trip in prayer and finance.
Outback Patrol flies groups on a voluntary basis so there is no charge to the schools for any ministry shared. As
Covenant Players is only supported by its performances and donations, we were able to perform in all the schools on

this trip without asking them for remuneration because of the sponsorship donations we received for our school
programmes. We are so grateful to the Lord for this wonderful ministry partnership of Covenant Players and Outback
Patrol. It was a great success and we hope to continue it yearly. Would you consider making a donation to Covenant
Players to sponsor a school programme for our next Outback Patrol mission? 
CP Celebrates 50 Years of Ministry (1963-2013)
In the 2013 Covenant World we spoke of the upcoming plans and preparations for Covenant Players 50th
Anniversary celebration in Los Angeles, California in July 2013. We are very pleased to inform you that by God’s grace
and provision, we were able to raise the necessary funds to fly our campus of Covenant Players to the USA for this
great event.
The CP Australian contingent who travelled to America was: Pam & Bart Cowser, Alicia Livingston, Robyn Randall,
Glenn Hibburt, Sabine Reiber, Della Brown, Board Member Elva Schmidtke, and Super Host and Friend Jane Phillips.

The AAO campus fully participated in
the Covenant Players training with the
North American and South African
campuses while in Los Angeles. When
the European campus arrived, all the
Covenant Players worldwide, as well
as supporters and alumni, attended
our Combined Campus Retreat.
The most amazing aspect of the
journey was that the Retreat that was
to be the pinnacle of our 50th
anniversary celebration completely
changed location from the retreat site
that Covenant Players had booked—
due to a mandatory evacuation
because of wildfires in that California
mountainous area! This meant we
were relocated approximately 50 miles
away from the fire danger to a Red
Cross evacuation site at a local high Covenant Players from across the world gathered together at Retreat
held at the Red Cross Evacuation Site in Beaumont, California USA.
school. It was an amazing experience
because it gave us the opportunity to trust God daily for His provision and also to be a witness to the Red Cross
volunteers, other evacuees and local school officials and administrators who reached out and did everything possible for
us to still have our Retreat.

The blessing and grace we received daily from God’s bounty was not only a joyful and unifying experience for our
ministry, but it was a Holy Spirit anointing from the Lord that He has Covenant Players firmly in his hand and is still
using our ministry to touch lives for the Kingdom of God.
The experience was so much more than we ever dreamed or hoped for and inspired us all as we returned to our
individual campuses to put our hand to the plough with greater vigour, zeal and determination in our mission for
Christ. 
New Location For Australasian Office / Home
After we returned from the USA, the greater part of the Exodus
Mission 2013 was spent in moving out of our former location for
the AAO office and home in Glossodia to our new location at 21A
Harris St., Windsor. We are so blessed by the many people who
supported us in prayer for the Lord’s solution to our need for a
smaller, more economical location.
We moved into our new home and office in Dec 2013 and we
are so grateful for the Lord’s provision. It is a wonderful new home
and office and suits our needs perfectly! God’s timing and provision
are just right!
We are very grateful to the many people who helped and aided
us throughout the move: Alastair and Heather Mackenzie who housed Pam and Bart during the transition period,
members of River of Life Church; and Hawkesbury Valley Baptist Church who helped us with the actual move, and our
wonderful new landlords Wayne and Pedrita Day. We give thanks to God for His many answers to prayer in all aspects
of this project. 

CP Celebrates 40 Years of Ministry 'Down Under'!
In December 1973 Don & Sandy McLeod
flew to Australia on assignment from Chuck
Tanner, CP’s founder, to start Covenant Players
in Australia. These two faithful servants of the
Lord strove faithfully to pioneer the ministry that
established Covenant Players ‘Down Under’.
Their first road trip took place in 1974 from
Perth to Melbourne. We would very much like to
celebrate Covenant Players 40 years in Australia
in 2014 by having a Celebration of CP Ministry
Down Under on Saturday 12 July in Windsor,
NSW.
Our hope is to have an event where CP
alumni, hosts, supporters and friends are
welcomed, culminating with a special evening
performance by the Covenant Players. This is
tentative as visas and travel for the Cowsers and
Chancys are pending. If you are interested in
attending this event or receiving more
information please email us, and we will keep you
informed of upcoming details and news. You can
also follow us on Facebook. 

Change of AAO Supervisors in 2014
When CP’s International Director Bobbi
Johnson-Tanner asked Bart and Pam to come to
Australia in 2012, we made a two-year commitment
to serve here. It is amazing how quickly the time
passes and it is definitely with a great deal of
wistfulness that we return to the USA when our
visas expire at the end of June. Our experience in
Australia has been a tremendous joy and blessing
beyond words. We have been so blessed to reunite
with old friends and to meet the many people who
love, support and believe fervently in the ministry
of Covenant Players. Thank you for your
faithfulness to us.
We are very pleased to announce that our
replacements as AAO Supervisors will be Seth and
Siri Ueland Chancy and their children Erik and
Natalia. They are currently living and serving in
Norway and are extremely excited for the great
adventure that awaits their family as they step out in
faith to obey and serve the Lord. We ask your
prayers as they prepare for this transition and
move. 

Covenant Players' Banquet Awards 2014
Each year for COVENANT PLAYERS’ ANNUAL AWARDS BANQUET, International Director Bobbi Johnson-Tanner
announces the theme for the Banquet—and the upcoming year of Covenant Players’ ministry. The theme for our 51st
Banquet comes from Genesis 12:2-3. “BLESSED! To BE a blessing” reminds us that we are active participants in the Lord’s
work of blessing others through us. This year Bobbi, Pam, and Bart recognized the following individuals for years of
gracious support and service which have enabled Covenant Players to “BE a blessing” to others here in Australasia and
New Zealand. We are so grateful for these persons—and all the wonderful hosts and supporters of Covenant Players.
We know we cannot do our ministry without you and we thank God for your love and partnership.

New Missioners for Covenant Players
The Lord has answered many prayers for Covenant Players this past year
with finances, a new location for home/office, the trip to Los Angeles, and
material provision. One of the greatest needs for our ministry at this time is

people. We need new missioners. We need people who are willing to sacrifice security
and material success to step out in faith, trust in the Lord, and serve Him on the
mission field.
Last year Bobbi Johnson-Tanner, our International Director, changed the initial
commitment to join Covenant Players from two years to one year in a hope that it
would attract more young people looking for a gap year mission work. We ask that you
join us in prayer as we beseech the Lord to send workers for the harvest. 
