CBS B00T CAMP FILL IN YOUR STUDY - FIRST DAY TRAINING INTRODUCTION Blow whistle, Ten hut!! Good Morning recruits! I am Captain fill in the blank, the Associate Teaching Director of Community Bible Study’s Camp fill in your course study. To my left is General fill in your TD’s name, the Teaching Director. Together we will direct you through Camp course study to become comfortable, cared for and confident in God’s word! During today’s boot camp, as information is given, I will be asking the question “Do I make myself clear?!” The correct response is “Sir yes sir!” Let’s practice shall we? I can’t hear you!! Very good. At the end of today’s boot camp, you will be assigned to your commanding officer (aka CO), platoon and baracks but first let’s cover camp logistics and regulations to make sure we don’t lose any recruits during this campaign. CHURCH CARE At Camp course study, The church/place where you meet branch of God’s army allows us to meet in their mess hall and use all of their barracks. As members of CBS Camp course study we ask you to leave it better than you found it. If the scouts can do it, so can we!! Do I make myself clear?! BE NICE In God’s army, we all come from different walks of life but with the same Leader. If there are any difficulties with your fellow recruits, before you lob a grenade, be sure to turn to Him and his Word to receive your marching orders on how to proceed. Do I make myself clear?! FACILITY INFORMATION Latrines are located out the double doors to _______. On designated days rations will be provided by you and your fellow recruits. ID AND SPIRAL INFO You have each been given a dog tag and CBS Field Guide (spiral). You must wear your dog tag at all times. Failure to do so will result in being given a “sticky” by your CO. The CBS Field Guide is your indispensable guide to Camp course study. (speak normally) Things to cover: each handout in the front CBSI - homeschool children will be teaching us about ______ during the year - always pray for _____ (this is your CBSI country) Financial information - There are camps all over the world whose recruits benefit by your generous donations. Be sure to fill out envelopes because we aren’t allowed to write on them for you, receipts come out the first of the year. Put your name in it - all Field Guides look alike Completing a lesson- Use The Bible and prayer to complete Child Protection Policy and love ladies - sign and give to leader or CYD if volunteering Fisher - log in with email and password, if you are new to Fisher, just type in your email and it will direct you to set up a password, you can access lessons, teachings, and other information. You can do your lesson online. Have completed through Lesson 2 home study questions for next week’s boot camp Back to military voice INTRO COORDINATOR Any questions about Camp CBS or Fisher please see the First Officer of Fabulousness, our coordinator, CO name. There isn’t a finer officer in the Camp who knows the ins and outs of a CBS class. BIBLE ONLY While at Camp course study, you will bring with you only the essentials to survive! Your Bible and Field Guide. CBS’s Camps use ESV but you are free to use the Bible of your choosing. Just leave all those outside books and commentaries by the wayside. SILENCE PHONES Also at Camp ________, cell phones are to be on silent. Use of phones, iPads and computers to access your lesson is permitted. Use of Facebook and texting in the barracks is prohibited. Please step outside if you need to conduct emergency or personal business. RESPECTFUL PARTICIPATION IN CLASS During your platoon core group meeting, your commanding officer asks that you answer only on the home study questions you have completed. Dialogue among the recruits is encouraged however, please be respectful of the time constraints of core group, stay focused on the topic at hand and give everyone a chance to participate if they so choose. Do I make myself clear?! CBS Camp _________ prohibits the following items at all times WITHOUT EXCEPTION. NO outside commentaries NO discussion of home churches or denominations - only the unity of the cross of Christ NO politics NO sales NO gifts If you find it difficult to follow these restrictions, the church/place where you meet of God’s army provides an excellent parking lot where you can discuss these items. Do I make myself clear?! CONFIDENTIALITY It is imperative for the safety of all recruits and officers, that everything in your platoons at Camp course study remain confidential. LOVE Last but not least, the single most important rule at Camp course study is the Golden one: “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” Matt 7:12 (You can select a verse from your study) Do I make myself clear?! CORE GROUP ASSIGNMENTS/LEADERS Listen up recruits!! You are now going to be assigned to your platoons, barracks and commanding officers. As I read their names, the commanding officers will stand to attention and be recognized. At the completion of these assignments you will be conducted to the barracks by your CO. RECRUITS DISMISSED!!!
