First Show Judging: MONDAY, September 17, 9:00 A.M.
Second Show Judging: THURSDAY, September 20, 12 Noon
Flower Entries and removals may be made through the door on Fair Lane near
the flower department. The door will be open only during the hours designated
for this purpose. Entries in this department must be made by 2:00 p.m. on
Friday, Aug. 17th. In order to have fresh exhibits, the Specimen and Artistic Division will alternate shows.
FIRST SHOW - House Plants and Specimen Exhibits may be delivered to the
Horticulture Building on Sunday, Sept. 16, 3-8 p.m. Specimens only must be
removed Sept. 19 after 7:00 p.m. House Plants and Garden Club displays must
remain the entire 7 days of the fair and may be removed the last day of the fair
from 6-8 p.m.
SECOND SHOW - The Artistic Division exhibits may be delivered to the
Horticulture Building on Thursday, Sept. 20 between 9:00-11:00 a.m. They
must be in place by 11:00 a.m. and removed on Sunday, Sept. 23 from 6-8 p.m.
THEY WILL BE JUDGED STARTING AT 12 NOON on THURSDAY, SEPT. 20.
GENERAL RULES:
1. Entries open to residents of Tuscarawas County only.
2. All exhibitors must purchase a membership ticket.
3. Exhibitors may compete in both shows and enter as many classes as desired, but each
exhibit must have a separate ticket and be registered with the Fair Secretary by Friday,
August 17th by 2:00 p.m.
4. Judging will be by an accredited judge.
5. The judges may at their discretion withhold any award, even though it may be the only
exhibit in the class.
6. Entries removed before set time will result in loss of premium.
7. Exhibitor assumes full responsibility for exhibits not removed after designated time.
SPECIAL AWARDS
A Rosette will be awarded to the Best of Show
in each of the following:
Specimen Division, House Plant Division and Artistic Division.
Plaques will be awarded to the following:
House Plant Gardener of the Year, Flower Gardener of the Year
and Flower Arranger of the Year.

Article Designation
1. Welcome Home to the New Baby:
Design a wreath to hang on a
nusery wall (diameter not to exceed
24”). Make your wreath gender
specific, either for a baby boy or
baby girl.
2. Aunt & Uncle: Create a corsage for
an Aunt and a boutonniere for an
Uncle. The two should compliment
each other as a matching pair.
3. Grandparent’s Farm: Create an all
around design ina basket. Incorporate the use of one or more fresh
fruits.
4. Sister: A modern vertical design of
your own interpretation.
5. Children: Incorporate the use of a
toy or toys, either in yor design, as
your container, or both.
6. Mother’s Rose Garden: Use roses
in this arrangement. For this class
ONLY you may use fresh flowers
purchased from a florist.
7. Brother: Create an arrangement
using fresh vegetation, but NO
FLOWERS. Incorporate one or
more fresh vegetables.

8. Cousins: Use fabric to present two complimentary arrangements. Arrangements must be vertical and under
16” in height.
9. You are a memeber of the family too!: Create a design
of your own interpretation that reflects your personality.
Include a note card that describes how your personality
has been interpreted in your design.
10.Father: Create an arrangement using ONLY dried
natural vegetation. Use a masculan container.
