Section 1: What Are The Numbers?
1. What is the total amount pledged for next year? Is this up or down? By what percentage?
2. How many pledge cards were returned? Is this up or down from last year?
3. How many pledge cards show an increase in giving compared to last year?
4. How many pledge cards show a decrease in giving compared to last year?
5. How many pledge cards stayed the same compared to last year?
6. How many new pledge cards did you receive this year, compared to last year?
7. How many pledges stopped because of a geographic move?
8. How many pledges stopped because a member passed away?
9. If you use electronic giving, did the number using it increase?
Section Two: How did it feel?
For richer answers to the following questions, interview a few parishioners. Be sure they represent a broad
demographic of your congregation and that they did not serve on the stewardship team.
1. Did you share enough information so people were both inspired and informed?
2. Did the program have the right tone for your congregation?
3. What was the most effective element of the campaign (ministry minutes, parish brunch, etc.)?
4. Did the program run for a good length of time? Too short? Too long?
5. Was the focus more on the bible or on the bills?
6. Was the focus more on mission or the budget?
