Learning to code is a valuable tool it will help you to develop and nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity Please follow the link https://hourofcode.com/uk it is a short video clip of inspirational figures from the world of technology, business, sport and politics who all explain why learning to code is a valuable skill for learning, life and work. In Computing Science this week S1, 2 & 3 will build code to control your favourite characters from Moana, Minecraft, Star Wards, Frozen and more. NAT 4/5 will build websites using HTML & CSS and/or develop Visual Basic Programs Higher will develop Visual Basic programs to read and write from file. We will also write Python code to control hardware! Advanced Higher will write searching sorting algorithms First Lego League will use MindStorm to control their Lego Robot If there is any pupil who would like to try out some coding this week but are not part of a Computing class, please drop into 4305 on Tuesday or Thursday.
