GrowNYC Graphic Design Independent Contractor Job Description
GrowNYC is seeking an experienced graphic design independent contractor to develop the overall layout and
production design for a variety of graphic design projects throughout the year. Examples of projects include
creating materials for all GrowNYC programs, such as postcards, brochures, resource guides, annual reports,
special event invitations, ad campaigns for specific initiatives, and more.
Job Responsibilities:

Work directly with representatives from various GrowNYC programs on specific projects based on need.
Provide ongoing communication with GrowNYC representative about specific projects.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness and ability to adhere to an existing branding strategy, even while creating new concepts.
Create a timeline for each project and meet deadlines - emphasize quick turnaround.
Accept constructive feedback and ultimately deliver what the representative is looking for.
Provide original files of all completed artwork.
Work with professional printers on our behalf when needed.
Excitement around thinking through new projects creatively and coming up with design solutions together
with program staff.
Ideal Qualifications

Graphic design skills and creativity - Ability to create new artistic content and deliver in a professional
package.
Excellent knowledge of Adobe graphic design programs.
Organized.
Close attention to detail.
Deadline-oriented.
Ability to withstand constructive criticism and work on tight timetables.
MWBE certified strongly preferred
