A Boy and a Bear in a Boat by Jessica, Leanne, Sophie, Brogan and

By Jessica Miller, Sophie McArthur, Shabnam Abdul, Brogan Fury, and Leanne Priestley.
A boy and a bear go to sea, equipped with a suitcase, a
comic book, and a ukulele. The bear assures the boy
that they are traveling a short distance and it really
shouldn't take very long. But then they encounter
"unforeseeable anomalies": turbulent stormy seas! a
terrifying sea monster! and the rank remains of The
Very Last Sandwich. The odds are pitted against the boy
and the bear and their boat.
The main characters names are unknown, (the
protagonists are referred to as; boy and bear), but here
are some of the other characters that were also in the
story;
A boy, a bear, a boat, a sea monster and multiple fish.
The main incident in the book, was when an unexpected
sea monster came up from beneath their boat and rose
up in front of the boy and bear. It caused a huge tsunami,
gushing up gallons of water into their boat named;
Harriet! The boy and the bear soon sorted the problem
out by attacking it.

Shabnam; We think that this book should not be
the winner. My reasons for this are: after reading a
few pages, I got bored of the storyline, and found it
a bit uninteresting.
Jessica; Personally, I found this book relatively
rudimental and not targeted for my age group. My
fellow candidates also agree with my statement
about this.
