BINGO - A NUMBER BASED STRATEGY GAME

Abstract: Earlier people used to manually write the matrix as well as generating random
numbers in the game. It was very tricky and time consuming process to be done. Now in
the present era there is no such application available in the market which provide facility
to make this game fully automatic. Therefore, a need to develop an application arise from
that fact. An effort to develop an application is taken. The introduction of bingo to the
online platform has made the game more accessible to bingo enthusiasts the world over.
It allows players to access the game from any location they choose to. In addition, online
bingo makes it available for players to play the game against international opponents.
I.
INTRODUCTION
The project “BINGO [1] – A Number Based Strategy Game” is a number based strategy
game which includes two or more player. The game supports two different modes (i.e.
single and multiplayer mode). In the single mode the player will be competing with the
CPU (i.e. HUMAN vs CPU) at different difficulty levels of his/her choice. In multiplayer
mode players will compete against each other (i.e. HUMAN vs HUMAN). The system will
generate a random number matrix as per the difficulty level selected by the users. Now the
player will start selecting a number simultaneously one by one. When a player completes a
sequence of numbers (i.e. horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) he/she scores a point. The
player with highest no of points in the given time period will the ultimate winner.
The biggest advantage of automatic approach is time consumption in manual mode is
brought down drastically as well as there are no or less chances of errors. The one more
feature included is there is mode for selecting the difficulty level as easy, medium, hard.
II.
BACKGROUND
In current scenario, the existing game is a manual version with limited and small size
of matrix. It also requires minimum two number of player to play the game. There have
been two overall approaches to play this game. One is manual and the other one is
automatic. In the manual approach, the players are supposed to generate the number in 5x5
matrix by their own which ultimately is again a hectic and a time consuming process. Due
to the manual process chances of errors also increases

PROPOSED SYSTEM
This application is entirely new product. The study and analysis have been done on
system which is totally manual which in turn is time consuming and hectic process. There
are many Web hosting companies that offer PHP, and the XAMPP installer is easy to use if

you want to set up your own [2]. So initiative has been taken to equip people with such
application. With modern Web technologies and a recent browser, it's entirely possible to
make stunning, top-notch games for the web [3].
This application will be helpful for all the players to play the game in dynamic
manner which will save time and paperwork of players. Broad perspective of ideas
regarding HTML and CSS have been grabbed for development of system [4]. Hence the site
will be much more responsive. AI is also implemented as there is CPU vs Human mode [5].
The application functions in following way1. Creation of matrix and random numbers
2. Highlighting the selected number.
3. Crossing the letter once sequence is made
4. Declaring the winner once all letters are crossed.

METHODOLOGY

In this paper certain technologies are used to develop the website and the gaming logic.
PHP is used as the base language. HTML and CSS are used to build the website. Many
improved technologies are available. Future work aimed at applying advanced techniques to
website to make it responsive and more fun oriented.
