BYBL INFORMATION
Please read if registering for BYBL this season
Eligibility………..……..
Entrants may only be registered into ONE team for the
duration of a season. Each team must have a minimum
number of 7 players.
Insurance…………....…
Registration and game fee does not include Personal
Accident Insurance. It is up to each participant to have
their own insurance that covers them in the event of an
injury.
Late notice (within 24 hours of game) - your team will be
responsible for refunding the opposing team’s game fee for
them arriving to a game without receiving notice of a
forfeit.
Uniform…………..……..
Numbered uniforms of like kind and colour is
compulsory. Team failed to follow the rules will be
given a warning by BYBL, if situation is not solved
within the time frame BYBL notified, team will be
asked to leave the competition.
BYBL holds third party public liability insurance only.
Team Changes…..….…
Replacement or Changes after the 1nd week of each season
are at the discretion of BYBL and may be subjected to a fee
per change.
Schedule………………...
Start times and schedule are available from the BYBL
website at the start of each season.
BYBL Registration…..
Each team must be registered before there are allowed to
compete. To register, the team is required to bring their
completed Team Registration form, Team Waiver of
Liability form signed by every member of the team and pay
the required fee.
Appeals…………………..
There is no appeal against the decision of a match official
and referee. Appeals relating to other aspects of play or
BYBL rules are adjudicated by BYBL coordinator. Appeals
must be submitted in writing by the Team Captain or
Manager.
Rules……..………….…..
FIBA as adapted by BYBL. BYBL have the right to modify (for
the benefit of the event) some of the rules as this is a nonprofessional competition.
Forfeits…..…...…...….
Teams must notify BYBL if their intent to forfeit 24 hours in
advance.

If players showed up for their team game and failed to
follow their team colour, 5 points for each player with
the wrong colour will be rewarded to the opponent at
the start of the game.
No pants with pockets no jewellery including
piercings.
Sport Venue……..……..
Indoor Sports Centre at Calamvale Community College on
11 Hamish Rd, Calamvale. Parking, drinks, snacks and
facilities available.
Scoring……..……..…..…..
Each team must supply an official/scorer. No dispute will be
allowed if a scorer is not supplied. Refer to BYBL website for
more information on officials/scorer.
Code of Conduct…...…..
Any physical abuse to a referee, club officials,
organisers, spectators or players will be dealt with
according to the punishment guidelines. Repeated
offenders will be banned from the tournament
without refund.
Any team/entrant who displays unreasonable behaviour in
the opinion of BYBL coordinator before, during, or after a
competition shall also be punished according BYBL
punishment guideline.
