anyone during the conduct of the event.

Facility:
Indoor, 25 Yard Pool with separate dive well for warm-up/warm-down. The
competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C (4). The
water depth at the start end is 5 Feet and 3 ½ Feet at the turn end.
Parking:
Cars need to park in the lots and not in the fire lane near the soccer fields.
Timing:
Colorado Timing System with touch pads, back-up buttons, and electronic
scoreboard. Hy-Tek Meet Manager software.
Seeding:
This meet will be seeded fastest to slowest.
Depending on the number of swimmers the sessions maybe be combined
Safety Issues:
All coaches, officials, parents, and swimmers should act in a safe manner.
All participants, visitor coaches and officials should be reminded that swimming
venues have areas where additional care is needed. This includes but is not
limited to slippery decks and hallways. Proper footwear and caution is
recommended.
No running or horseplay is allowed; it is the responsibility of the swimmer, coach,
officials, and parents to monitor these activities.
Remember safety first! Please help accommodate your neighbors.
Warm up:
Warm-up will be conducted in accordance with Colorado Swimming Inc.
procedures. Backstroke starts are NOT allowed during general warm-up. No
equipment may be used during the warm-up periods including but not limited to:
fins, paddles, kick boards, pull buoys, cords for assisted or resisted swimming.
Coaches will be responsible for the conduct and safety of their swimmers.
The warm up schedule will be emailed to participating teams and posted at the
pool.
The Meet Director will determine the warm-up schedule. The start time for the
afternoon session warm-up may be modified, depending upon the finish time of the
middle session.

Rules:
2017 USA Swimming rules will govern the meet.
At a sanctioned competitive event, USA Swimming athlete members must be
under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up,
competition, and warm-down. The Meet Director or Meet Referee may assist the
swimmer in making arrangements for such supervision, but it is the swimmer’s
responsibility to make such arrangements prior to the start of the meet.
Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming membercoach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from
within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility
of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this
requirement.
Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue
(pools, athlete/coach areas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) any
time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present.
The meet referee will be the final meet authority. The meet will be pre-seeded, and
all events are timed finals.
Eligibility:
Open to all swimmers holding a 2017 USA Swimming membership card. Any
swimmer that appears on the CSI exceptions report without registration must come
to the meet prepared to show their card or they will be deck registered before they
can enter the water. A surcharge for deck registration will apply, $28.00 year round
and $15.00 for seasonal plus the normal registration fee.
Per USA Swimming rule 302.4, Colorado Swimming Inc. will impose a fine of $150
per swimmer who shows up on the post meet registration check charged to the
team account. Teams will receive one Meet Recon email as a reminder to register
the swimmers. As soon as the post meet registration check is run the team will be
charged.
Entries:
Entry times must be in Short Course Yards.
No-Time (NT) Entries Will Not Be Accepted! No Time entries will be
rejected. It is recommended the coach obtain entry times during practice that are
well within the ability of the swimmer.
Entries need to be emailed to the entry chair by Noon Friday, February 10, 2017.
Please include the coaches’ name, address, e-mail and phone number with
all entries. If you wish to confirm receipt of entries, please contact entry chair via
e-mail only.

Entry Fees:
Individual event fee is $4.75 per event; $0.75 of each individual event will go to the
CSI Support Fund. Pool surcharge will be $5.00 per swimmer. All fees must
accompany entries. Make check payable to the STARS Swim Club

Entry Maximum:
Maximum of 4 Individual events per swimmer. No Exhibition Swimming allowed.
Restrictions:
USA SWIMMING RULES 103.11 AND 103.12 REGARDING TOBACCO AND
ALCOHOL USE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in
changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms. No Photography will be allowed from
behind the starting blocks. Any Team Photographers or Media must report to the
Meet Director or Meet Referee prior to being allowed access to the pool deck.
Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated
areas is not appropriate and is prohibited.
All swimmers entered in the competition must comply with the USA Swimming
Rulebook Section 102.8 Swimwear except as provided in Rule 205.10.1
Meet Information: Will be emailed out to participating teams.
Concessions:
No concessions will be available.
Hospitality:
Hospitality will be available for Coaches and Officials.
Awards:
No awards will be given.
Results:
Results will be emailed to participating teams once the meet has concluded.
Coaches and
Officials:
All coaches and uniformed officials must display their USA/CSI cards when on
deck. Current certification is mandatory. Coaches/Officials that are not in
compliance will not be allowed on deck.
Officials Meeting: Will be held at 8:20 A.M. in the equipment room.
Officials Uniform: White Polo shirts over Blue Skirts, Shorts, or Pants. White Shoes.

Trainees:
Trainees are welcome at this meet. Check in with Meet Referee at the designated
officials meetings for the sessions in which you plan to participate.
STATE JO’s:
The STARS Last Chance Meet satisfies the CSI entry deadline for last chance
entries for the upcoming State Championship meet. All new state qualifying times must
be turned in along with the correct payment submitted to the Meet Director at the Last
Chance Meet BEFORE the end of the meet. Updating previously entered times is not
permitted. Meet Entry Chair will forward all last chance qualifications to the LSC State
meet Entry Chair. (Entries will not be accepted from individuals or teams, only from last
chance host).
