Prepare you for internship
 Initiate research skills
 Develop personal and team-working skills

Two Coursework Assessments:

Employability Development
 50% of TMM

Team-working and Leadership
 50% of TMM
Coursework 1:
Employability and Development:

Component 1:
 Write a Research Report (50% of coursework 1 marks)

Component 2:
 Attend a simulated internship interview (approx 15 min) with your
Personal Development Portfolio (PDP)* (50% of coursework 1 marks)
*Your PDP must include:
Belbin self-profile
CV
Cover Letter (to a company and internship role of your choice)
Copy of Research Report (Component 1) for reference only
Can also include Certificates, References, Letters of recommendation etc.
PDP Documents for Coursework 1:

Belbin self-profile
 Instructions given in seminar class to complete online
questionnaire
 Designed to analyse your views on team-working and
leadership and to identify your strengths and
weaknesses
 Profile info needed for Research Report, as a PDP
document and also for Team-working and Leadership
Event.

CV and Cover Letter
 Lectures and seminars will help you focus on latest
design/content
 Supported by Regents Careers and Business Relations
Unit
Research Report
 900 word Report (+/- 10%) using structure shown in
class (standard report style for Regents University
London)
 Analyse the suitability of a candidate (you!) for an
internship role in a given company. You will be writing in
the ‘third person’ about yourself!
 Need to research the company, analyse the strengths
and weaknesses of the candidate based on their Belbin
profile and CV, and make recommendations on how the
candidate could further develop themselves.
 Use Harvard Referencing system to acknowledge your
research sources (i.e. do not plagiarise!)

DRAFT report (for formative feedback)
to be submitted to BlackBoard by 23:59
Weds 7th Oct 2015

FINAL report (for grading) to be
submitted to Blackboard by 23:59 on Fri

Worth 100% of Coursework 2 marks

Bramley Lakes trip: Coursework 2:
You will be given a ‘Commitment & Registration Form’
 You will be able to book the Event through BlackBoard
from 5 pm Tues 15th Sept.
 If you sign up and don’t attend the Event you will be
charged £500 and fail the module!
