SET-UP/TAKE-DOWN ASSISTANT
– SPECIAL EVENTS
Skills/Experience
• Ability to work independently
or as part of a team.
• Dependability and committed
to your scheduled shift.
• Willingness to work in all
weather conditions.
• Must be physically able to
lift/carry up to 40lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for
extended periods of time.
Number of Positions:
• 10-20 per shift
Time Commitment:
• Morning and afternoon shifts
available.
• Shifts normally run for 4-5
hours.
• Events are usually held on
weekend days or statutory
holidays.
Responsibilities:
• Safe and efficient setup/take-down of event
equipment including:
• Tents
• Tables
• Chairs
• Signage
• Barriers
• Sound equipment
• Scaffolding
• Taking down equipment
safely and storing
efficiently.

• Completed volunteer application.
• Attend an orientation session.
• Report to team lead or Head of Special Events.
• Volunteer ID to be worn during shift.
