Andy is lying on his sofa listening to his Walkman with bulky
headphones.
Then takes his headphones off and gets off the sofa.
Andy turns on his stereo, puts a record on and turns down the
music (so it becomes background noise.)
Moving towards the kitchen, he steps on a squeaky dog toy, he
sighs and picks up the toy and puts it on the side and clicks the
flashing answer phone machine.

Andy walks over to the box of tapes, he picks one out and puts it
in his Walkman, turns off the stereo.
Opens the door. Busy street sound cuts into Andy's world. He
takes a deep breath, calls Boo and puts on his headphones,
heads out of the door.
Andy is crossing the road into the park. We hear the Music from
his headphones. A car beeps at him as he steps onto the zebra
crossing, making Andy jump.
Andy walks into the park and then sits on the left side of his
bench.

Mum’s Answer message: “Hi, darling, it's Mum,
“How did the job interview go
Have you heard anything yet?
I hope you're looking after yourself, Remember to eat
your greens and such....
Anyway. Love you darling. please call me back soon,
bye!” *BEEP*

AURA and MICHAELA are in the cafe van. Michaela is making a
drink for a CUSTOMER who stands outside. Aura is tidying the
front counter, her eyes following and gazing at Andy. Michaela
finishes the drink and hands it to the customer.

him every day. He comes in the park with his flask, sits
by our cafe and talks to himself. Didn't you see him
whistling....

what you see in him. Can you pick up the rubbish?

Aura gets a bag and picks up the disposable coffee cups lying
around the park. She sees one near Andy's feet and heads
towards him.

Andy notices Aura approaching and eyes her warily for a

… before furiously looking down at the tapes spinning in his
Walkman.
Aura stands in front of Andy; she leans down and picks up a
coffee cup from the floor.

Andy looks up, automatically following the motion. Their eyes
meet and Aura smiles at him.
Andy stares at her. Caught in her gaze.
He stands, snapping back to himself, shoving his Walkman in his
pocket.

path, at which point we look back and Aura still stands where we
left her holding the bin bag and coffee cup.

heard from you? I do worry about you on your own.
Are you spending time with anyone…apart from Boo?

(Day6/7) Aura has been waiting for Andy all week. We see her
looking at Andy's bench.
She takes a photo (of Andy on the bench) out of the pocket of
her tabard and stares at it
She looks up and sees Andy walking toward the bench, she
smiles.
Andy walks Boo along the park path to his bench, we can hear
Boo's pattering footfalls

(Day 2/3) Aura longingly looks at the bench where Andy
normally sits, Michaela rolls her eyes
(Day 3) Andy reels in the tape from a cassette and talks to Boo.
The next day of the week mug is nearby.
(Day 4) Andy feeds Boo.
Andy: “Come on Boo, we need tea.”

Andy looks down and picks up a stick, throws it and shouts fetch
to Boo.
They both sit and stare at the stick, eyes follow towards it.
Focus on Andy. He stands.
Aura: (motioning at the Walkman / waving at him /
shouts slightly) “WHAT YOU LISTENING TO?”
Andy:” Oh... um... Nothing...”
Aura: (laughing) “Well it wouldn't be nothing.... I like
your old Walkman, my dad used to have one. What's
on your tape?”
Andy:” um... I don't think you'd really like it... (looks at
nametag) … Aura”

bread, puts bread in the toaster, puts the kettle on, picks up dog
biscuits turns to Boo

know where he's gone with it... ur yeah better go and
get him er gotta go.... get my dog...”
Aura: “OK. your dog. OK.... Bye then.”
Andy whistling, tapping his thigh.
Andy: (mutters)” Aargh. What an idiot. What was I
thinking... Boo's not very good at fetch!

Andy: “She seemed to like me. Could she like me? She
said she liked my Walkman... and then you didn't help
running off like that and I looked like such a fool
running after you.”

Andy puts more biscuits in Boo's bowl. WHOOSHING SOUND.
Andy freezes and stares at the overflowing biscuit bowl and the
empty space where Boo should be.
Andy lies on the sofa with his headphones on, eyes closed. He
hears the phone ring over the sound of his music
Boo’s eyelevel, 180degree spin to Andy’s
eyelevel.

Andy draws the cover for a new mixtape with the name Aura on
it and enjoys the music. He puts the tape in his Walkman but
does not put the headphones on, turns as if to call Boo, sighs
and turns to leave the house.
Andy walks into the park alone with his headphones off
practicing talking to Aura
Andy approaches Aura who is sat on "his" bench with her
camera and is looking through polaroids.
Andy sits down next to Aura frustrated with himself.

Animated credits (showing Andy, Aura and Boo's life together / a
new painting?) roll to the sound of the music
Aura:” Yes. I ...work here... I'm just on a break.”
(Pause)
Andy:” That's a nice flower”
Aura:” It’s a polygonum maculosa... most people just
call it a redshank.”
Andy:” Oh.”
Aura:” It's often seen as a weed. But I can't understand
why.”
Andy: “OOh is that one of me?”
Aura: “Yes... I love this shot.”
Andy: “Really?”
Aura: “Yes, why wouldn't I?”
Andy: “Not everyone sees things the way you do.
People aren't always so nice...I've made a new tape would you like to listen?”
