FASU Games Officially End
The 7th All Africa University Games officially came to an end on 17 th July 2014 at a closing
ceremony held at the University of Nairobi (UoN) Sports Grounds, where more than 13
countries from different parts of Africa and 500 athletes had participated.
During the ceremony, the Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Arts, Dr. Hassan Wario
said that he was delighted to have presided over the closing ceremony in corporation with
the Local Organizing Committee. He noted that this was the 2nd time Kenya and in
particular UoN, had hosted such an important event across the continent.
The FASU President, Dr. Ralethe Malumbete, thanked UoN for successfully hosting the
games. He also thanked the media, sponsors, partners and all the people who had
contributed in one way or the other, to make the event a big success.
