TRADITIONAL GAMES RULE OF GAMES HANDKERCHIEF CATCHING Name of the game:Handkerchief Catching Number of players in the game:A minimum of 9-a maximum of 15 Place of the game:Outdoors (The game is played in the class ,due to weather conditions.) Age group of the players:5-6 age Zone of development:Psychomotor Development Gender of the players:Boy-Girl Tools of the game:Handkerchief HOW TO PLAY THE GAME The children are equally divided into two groups.The equal two groups of children form a line facing one another.An ''it'' is chosen with counting.The ''it'' who has the handkerchief, stands in the middle of two groups.With the ''start'' command of the ''it'' ,players from two groups run to take the handkerchief.The player who took the handkerchief , tries to get back to his/her group without getting caught.The player who couldn't take the handkerchief is eliminated.If the player who took the handkerchief gets caught, he/she will be eliminated.The group which has the most players at the end of the game,wins the game.The game continues like this. PHOTOS OF PUPILS a IMPRESSION OF PUPILS & TEACHER The game ,drew the attention of pupils. All of the pupils,participated in the game willingly. During the game,pupils and teacher had a great time. A proper environment is provided for children to meet and befriend each other. Since the game is a mobile one,it contributed to their psychomotor development and enabled them to spend their energy positively. In accordance with the purpose,the intended and planned achievements are gained.
