‘7-Steps to Success’ Guide to Respiratory Inhalers
The NHS spends just under £1 billion a year on respiratory
inhalers, yet many people's inhaler technique is so poor that
they are not making the most of their inhalers. Like patients,
many healthcare professionals are unsure on how each type
of inhaler device should be used.
The 7-Steps to Success Inhaler Reminder Cards are an easyto-use and highly portable reference source to help remind
healthcare professionals on how to use each different type of
inhaler device. The reminder cards provide a simple ‘7-step’
guide to achieve optimal technique.
The inhaler reminder cards are produced as a heavy-duty ring bound set with a laminated card for each
different type of inhaler device. The cards were last updated in Jan 2015 to include many new devices. In
May 2015, the East of England Respiratory SCN (Strategic Clinical Network) sent one free copy to all
practices in the region to support education of inhaler technique and raise awareness of this handy tool.
