Dear Parents and Carers,
PGL Residential Trip 2017/2018
11th September – 15th September 2017
We are excited to share with you, that we are in the process of booking Liddington PGL Activity Centre in
Swindon for your child to offer them the opportunity of a residential experience when they go into Year 6 next
September.
We appreciate that the cost of these trips are a lot of money, however we have been able to reduce the
original amount by negotiating with PGL, and the school have also subsidised the total cost by paying the full
cost of the transport to and from the centre. The cost of this trip will be £307.00 per child, which
includes a 4 nights stay; accommodation and bedding, breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as a full range of
activities such as rock-climbing, abseiling, archery and many other exciting, challenging, team building
exercises.
If your child wishes to take part in the trip but current circumstances make it difficult to meet the cost or if
you are in receipt of specific benefits then please contact Mrs Tomsett, our Business Manager to make an
appointment to discuss a payment plan.
On Monday 10th October at 3:15pm we will be holding a short meeting to inform parents about the trip.
This will give you the opportunity to ask questions and find out more. In the meantime if you would like more
information about the activity centre and the activities they will be offering you can visit their website:

If you wish for your child to take part in the trip, please return the slip below by, Thursday 20th
October together with a first payment of £40.00, as a deposit to secure your child’s place. A schedule of
payments can be found attached.
