0.1 Introduction
In the real world, an Academy is an organized college or
institution, where special subjects or skills are taught.
Obviously, a Football Academy is the place where junior
footballers go to learn the right techniques and tactics to
prepare them for a professional career in this sport. Most
young people enroll into a Football Academy for one basic
reason: to learn how to become world-class professional
footballers.
However, setting up an Academy gives you an opportunity to
do more than just teach football skills. You can also create an
organised and safe environment to nurture the social and
moral values of the young people in your care, which would
make the society, and our nation a better place.

To teach the young boys and girls the game of football from the
rudiment and to make the school one of the best if not the best in
the game of football in Lagos state

academy is pupils of Imperial Gate
School Lekki (both boys and girls)

Teach the pupils the game from the rudiment
To identify new talents
To promote good health through sports
To motivate the pupils’ interest in sports
Create opportunity for recreation
To promote inter-personal relationship amongst football pupils

0.5 Developmental Programme
Short Term Plans.(first 3months)
1. Teach the young boys and girls the game of football from the
foundation. Teaching them the basic skills in the game of football
which include: passing, controlling the ball, heading, dribbling e.t.c
2. Give the players proper drills, which would make them physically and mentally
fit.
3. Prepare the pupils for friendly (exhibitions) matches with other schools in
Lagos
