Under 12's Managers Job Profile 2016-2017
Qualifications required:


ACB accredited Introduction to Coaching (or willing to undertake the online course before the
commencement of season)
WORKING WITH CHILDREN qualification is MANDATORY and needs to be displayed.
Key responsibilities and duties:








Be available to all allocated match days.
Be available to all Junior Registration days and Junior Functions.
Liaise with the nominate Junior coaches and with the Junior coordinator.
Attend monthly Junior coaches meeting.
Manage, maintain and be responsible for their own team’s kit.
The applicant will be a part of the South Morang Junior Coaches board that will assist and have input in
developing programs.
When representing SMCC during match day it is required to wear the appropriate clothing provided by
SMCC.
Good and clear communication to Children, Parents and other Stakeholders
Requirement and Expectations:











Understand the rules of cricket.
Ensure all players have been registered prior game day
Ensure the team sheet is completed and handed over to the opposition before the1st day’s
close of play.
Receive the opposition team sheet before the1st day’s close of play. If it’s not received report
it to the Junior coordinator so they can follow in up.
Be aware of all players medical condition and any food allergies.
Inspection of the ground and wickets and ensure the conditions are suitable for playing.
Ensure the player start on time according to the DVCA guidelines.
Score are entered in to the Mycricket website before recommend DVCA timelines.
Scorer is nominated per week.
Stumps and boundary markers placed.
Drinks made available for both our players and opposition teams at home games.




Bowl everyone in the team (2 over each for one day games, 4 overs for two day days)
Rotate the batting and bowling order. (If someone doesn’t get a bat one game ensure they do
the following game by promoting them up the batting order.)
Deal with any issues that arise immediately (e.g. bad behaviour, parental pressures etc) and
report those issues in writing to the SMCC Junior Coordinator.
Develop a positive and encouraging team and club spirit.
