Chartered Management Institute Accreditation Factsheet RAF UAS Leadership Award Qualifications Summary Developed for practising middle managers aspiring to be senior management who want to develop core management and leadership skills, the CMI Level 5 Qualifications in Management and Leadership (QCF) focus on personal development of individual capabilities and competencies. Level 5 Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQ) portray practical management and leadership skills and competences that are rated in academic terms as being comparable to Diplomas of Higher Education, Foundation Degrees and HNDs. QCF qualifications are readily recognised by civilian organisations. Overview UAS training has been mapped across to CMI Level 5 Management and Leadership Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) learning outcomes, earning recognition through accreditation and engagement with CMI nationally recognised qualifications. Your training satisfies all learning outcomes of the leadership unit 5012. Although course content covers the learning required to gain accreditation of unit 5001, cadets must complete a Personal Development Plan (PDP) for external moderation in order to meet statutory assessment requirements for the award of this unit. This unit is about leadership skills and the understanding of ethical and cultural issues within the organisation, styles of leadership, and achievement of goals through team involvement. Acquire this Qualification. No additional work is required by you; proof of successful completion of your UAS training will make you eligible for this qualification. Registration for the Award. You have an 18-month window of opportunity, from date of course completion, to register for this qualification. The advantage of early registration is the granting of studying membership for one year which may help you with your studies. Once you have subsequently forwarded completion evidence, allow a minimum of 6 weeks for receipt of certification. It is recommended that you register before the end of your training in order to take advantage of 2-year studying membership which will support your work for unit 5001 and may also help you with your studies. Submitting your PDP. Guidance with regard to completing a PDP is available from CMI web resources and also from SO2 FD at HQ 3 FTS. Once completed, discuss your PDP with your Sqn Cdr (or UAS mentor), obtain comment and sign-off before submitting to SO2 FD at HQ 3FTS for onward distribution to CMI moderators. At the same time, you should submit evidence of successful UAS training directly to CMI (same address as registration). Certification will not commence until moderation of PDP and evidence of successful completion of UAS training completion are verified. Please allow a minimum of 8 weeks for receipt of certification.
