RULES
OBJECT:
Be the first player to get 4 of your pieces ( X or O ) in a
row, either horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
CONTENTS:
32 X pieces, 32 O pieces, 2 blocker pieces, 4 board tiles
PLAYING:
The X player goes first, placing one piece on the playing
area. Players then alternate turns and can place
pieces directly on the board or upwards on top of
already played pieces.
(each divided into 4 sections)
SET UP:
Arrange the first board tile so that the connector edges
are located on the right and bottom sides as shown.
ENDING AND WINNING THE GAME:
The first player to get four of their pieces in a row, either
vertically, horizontally or diagonally wins.
GAME VARIATIONS:
Add the other board tiles, flat edge
to connector edge, until you have
all four boards together. The board
is now formed into a 4 X 4,
16 section playing area.
During the game you will be connecting
pieces as shown.
Tip: To separate pieces more easily, tilt them
instead of pulling straight up.
One player takes all the X pieces; the
opponent takes the O pieces.
•Blockers:
The two blockers—black pieces—can be used to add
different strategy to the game. The rules for using them
are:
-A blocker can only be used to block an opponent’s win.
-A player’s blocker must be used before taking your
regular turn.
You can give each player a blocker or, when playing
against a less experienced player, give one or both to
that player.
•3 X 3:
Instead of using the full 4 X 4 section board tile, you can
contain your game play to a 3 X 3 section. In this case 3
in a row wins the game.
