All the team managers / coaches must submit the original entry forms, proof of age of the players, participation fee and school flag immediately on arrival. 2. It is mandatory for all the teams to take part in the opening ceremony on 27th , Nov.2015 at 9:00 am & closing ceremony on 29th Nov, 2015 at 2:00 pm 3. Team escort of each team will be responsible for the discipline & conduct of his team. Any damage to school property will be recovered from the concerned team. The team manger will be responsible for the return of bedding. 4. No participant, Coach / Manager will be permitted to go out of school without prior permission of the principal of the host school. 5. It is mandatory for every player to wear School I- card. 6. Always switch off the electric gadgets, keep your baggage and room locked while leaving the room. 7. Team should be prepared to play more than one match a day. 8. Each participant must have his individual kit with a uniform dress code. 9. Meals will be provided near Reception area. TECHNICAL OFFICIALS’ MEETING The Technical Officials’ Meeting for Team Leaders and/or their representatives will take place as follows: Time: 7:00pm on 26th November 2015 at DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL MEERUT. Attendance: Only one official from each participating School team will attend the meeting. The fixture of Table Tennis will be drawn. 13. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR COACHES / MANAGERS Coaches/Managers must attend the 'Managers' meeting which will be held in Tagore Hall at 07.00 pm on 26th Nov. 2015. Coaches/Managers will be responsible for late arrival or not reporting at the venue on time. Only participants will be allowed in track arena, skating rink, and table tennis arena during their specific event. Coaches will be responsible for any damage to property at the place of stay. 14. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COACHES “Good sportsmanship is viewed as a measure of the understanding and commitment to fair play, ethical behavior and integrity.” Set a positive example for players and spectators at all times. Accept your responsibilities as a coach by always showing respect for your game/sport. Show respect for the officials’ judgment and their interpretation of the rules. Accept both victory and defeat with pride and compassion, never be boastful or bitter. 15.RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTICIPANTS Use appropriate language. Exercise self –control at all the times. Respect the officials’ judgment and interpretation of the rules. Accept the responsibilities and privilege of representing your school by acting in a manner that will create a positive attitude. Participants must keep their respective areas clean. 16.CHANGE THE GOLDEN RULES OF DISCIPLINE INTO DIAMOND Maintain self discipline during the event. Kindly co-operate with the Organizing Committee. Follow the queue whenever required. Proof of identification has to be produced to the officials on demand. Do not litter the surroundings. Use dustbins. Do not pluck flowers. Keep the toilets clean. Water is precious, do not waste it. Do not damage any equipment and property. 17.CERTIFICATES The certificates of merit will be provided by the DPS Society to the first, second and third position winners. Merit Certificates shall be awarded up to 6th position only in Athletics. However participation certificates will be awarded to all those who actually take part in their respective events. No participation certificate shall be given to the Participant who does not participate after reporting. In case any event gets cancelled, no prizes shall be issued to the concerned athletes. 18.TROPHIES Event wise trophies will be awarded to the teams securing the 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions (i.e. Winners, 1st Runner-up, and 2nd Runner-up) Category wise trophies will be given for the individual championship category. ENTRY STANDARDS One School can register maximum one athlete for two individual events and one relay Race 4. COMPETITION BIBS In the Technical Meeting LOC will distribute two bibs with eight safety pins for each athlete taking part in the competition. The same bib number will be used by an athlete regardless of the number of events he participate in. Athletes taking part in the Relay events will wear the number on their front & back. 6. FINAL CONFIRMATION Final confirmation forms will be distributed on arrival at the Reception Desk in the Delhi Public School Meerut. Documentations of the Technical Meeting will be distributed as well. Final confirmation forms can be submitted for one day or all days at the Reception Desk, Delhi Public School Meerut. If confirmation forms are not submitted on the given time, athlete of particular team can’t participate in next day events. The team shall consist of two (2) participants(Quads Skates) 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Position will be given according to the timing in Rink Race-I. Heat will be conducted in Rink Race – II The team championship will be decided on the team score in different events. Following are the events in which competition will be held:i. Rink Race – I (300 m) which is decided on the time basis. Ii. Rink Race – II (750 m) which is decided on the basis of heats. Both the participants from each school are allowed to take part in both the events. Each participant should have his individual specified skates and sports shoes. Participants should be in proper sports uniform with Headgear and kneecap, falling which they will not be allowed to participate in the competition. Heats will be conducted in Rink Race –II Position will be given according to the time trial in Rink Race-I 10. In Technical Official Meeting Race no. will be provided with two bibs & 8 safety pins for each skater taking part in the competition. The same Race number will be used by the skater regardless of other race number on his Back and Left Thigh. . 11. The Rules and Regulation of competition will be provided by the Technical Director and competition manager during the meeting. 12. Participants shall report inside the rink 45 minutes before the event starts. In case of any delay in reporting, they will be disqualified from their event. 13. If any participant is found touching and pushing other participant during race, he will be disqualified from his event. 14. The skating costumes should be skin tight with head gear, failing to which participant will not be allowed to participate in the competition. 15. The decision of technical committee/Referee shall be final. 16. Any photograph/video clipping from other than official camera shall not be considered for any reference. 17. If a skater gets over-lap by other skater then he will be called off from the race by the official. 18. The finishing line will be marked with a white line of 5 cm. The skater taking part in Quads should wear the skates that should not have heels attached to the shoe & should not be high ankle. Directives of Table Tennis 1. Participants shall report 45 minutes before the match at the competition Venue 2. Team Match System Singles Match will be played on Knock-out basis A school shall consist of one player. The matches will be played best of 3 games till the Pre-quarter finals. Matches will be played as the best of five for the Quarterfinals to the Finals Team championships Match will be played on Knock-out basis A team shall consist of three players The order of play shall be A v/s X, B v/s Y, Doubles - A v/s Y, B v/s X The matches will be played as best of 3 games up to the finals 3. Draws Draws will be made on 26-11-2015 in managers’ meeting. The technical committee will draw the fixture. 4. Competition Manager In Technical dispute. The competition manager may over rule the referee. However in matters regarding the interpretation of the rules and racket control outcome, the referee’s decision will be final. Competition Manager will work closely with the referee in the tournament in all technical matters of the event such as: Entries Eligibility Draw 5. Duration of Tournament The tournament shall be conducted for three days. 6. The decision of technical committee/Referee shall be final. 7. ITTF approved balls will be used in the matches. 8. A game will be won by the player or pair who first scores 11 points unless both players and pairs score 10 points each, then the game shall be won by the first player or pair subsequently gaining a lead of 2 points. 9. Each player should have his individual sports kit with uniform dress code. Important: Expedite system shall come into operation if a single is unfinished after 10 minutes play. If the expedite system is introduced, all subsequent games of the match shall be played under the expedite system. Player shall be playing continuously throughout the match except that a player is entitled to: (a) An interval of up to one minute between successive games of a match. Players can take time out for one minute, once in the entire match. (b) Brief intervals for toweling after 6 points from the start of each game and at the change of ends in the last possible game of a match.
