Golf Cart Parade Rules & Entry Form
October 14 & 15
Organizations can register to decorate a Golf Cart for the golf cart parade immediately before the Patriot
Eat & Greet Friday October 14 at 5 p.m. and on Saturday, October 15th at 3:30 p.m. at the Herrington
Patriot Center. A trophy will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Judging will take place during the parade
on October 14.
Competition Explanation and Rules
1. Decorating
 Golf carts will be available for your team to decorate beginning at noon on October 13 and
must be completed by 4:00 pm on Friday, October 14th
 Decorating is scheduled to take place in the Soccer Field Parking Lot
 Golf Carts may be decorated using any means that does not damage or permanently alter
the cart. Tape and poster board will be provided to each team, markers will be available
on site. Teams may provide additional materials.
 Additionally, teams may get extra points if they have their team’s Human walk in front of
their float to represent their team. Costumes are encouraged!
 In order to win judging you must fit the theme of An East Texas Tradition (school
spirit/Texas theme)!
2. Parade and Judging
 The golf cart parade will take place at 5 pm starting at Harvey Deck. Be at your cart ready
to go at 4:30 for setup and judging.
 Teams/Drivers will also need to be present at the HPC at 3pm on Saturday.
 Golf carts will be judged on creativity and incorporation of the Homecoming theme.
3. Clean up & Deposit Information
o At check-in you must exchange your student ID for a key, you will exchange back
the key for the ID once judging and cleaning of the golf cart is over.
 After the Homecoming Soccer Game, participants will be
responsible for the clean up and removal of decorations from
their golf carts!
 Teams are responsible for any damage to their Golf Cart
 If your Golf Cart is returned in the SAME condition as received
with no damage then your student ID will be returned to you.
 If there is damage, the damages will be divided among the team
members listed on the registration packet and be charged to their
account.
