Check Your Mates – Keeping Safe Competition
Terms and conditions
1. By submitting an entry to the Competition, you accept these Terms and Conditions.
2. The Competition will run from Tuesday 6 June, 2017 to Friday 30 June, 2017
inclusive.
3. There is no entry fee for the Competition.
4. For the purpose of the Check Your Mates – Keeping Safe Competition Motorcycling
Victoria also includes affiliates that may represent Baw Baw Shire Council, RoadSafe
Community Road Safety council and Victoria Police.
5. Entry to the Competition can only be made by:
a. posting a photo to a public Instagram account including comments on how you
keep yourself and your mates safe on the trail and
b. following Motorcycling Victoria Instagram page and
c. including the hashtag #checkyourmates or #CheckYourMates and
d. tagging three mates on the original Motorcycling Victoria competition post, dated
Tuesday 6 June, 2017
6. Four entries will be shortlisted by Motorcycling Victoria on Motorcycling Victoria
Facebook Page on 7 July, 2017. Potential shortlisted entrants will be notified via
private message on Instagram. Potential shortlisted entrants must provide their name,
contact details, and a high resolution photo of the picture in order to be shortlisted. If,
for any reason, a potential shortlisted entrant does not provide their name, contact
details and a high resolution photo by the time stipulated by Motorcycling Victoria, a
replacement potential shortlisted entrant will be chosen by Motorcycling Victoria.
7. The winner will be determined by public vote on Motorcycling Victoria Facebook
page, closing at 5:00pm on Monday 10 July, 2017.
8. The winner will be notified via a private message on Instagram.
9. The four shortlisted entrants will be eligible to receive the major prize, runner up
prize and consolidation prize 1 or 2 all of which will be posted via Australia Post.
Prizes are as follows:
e. Major Prize : 1 x Check Your Mates decal kit as designed and approved by
Motorcycling Victoria in consultation with Ringmaster Images and customised to
fit the nominated bike of the prize recipient to a maximum value of $360.00 and
postage within Australia plus 1 x Check Your Mates Hoodie in the nominated size
of the prize recipient, 1 x Check Your Mates T-Shirt in the nominated size of the
prize recipient and 1 x Trucker Cap
f. Runner Up: 1 x Check Your Mates decal kit as designed and approved by
Motorcycling Victoria in consultation with Ringmaster Images and customised to
fit the nominated bike of the prize recipient to a maximum value of $360.00 and
postage within Australia.
g. Consolation Prize 1: 1 x Check Your Mates Hoodie in the nominated size of the
prize recipient, 1 x Check Your Mates T-Shirt in the nominated size of the prize
recipient and 1 x Trucker Cap
h. Consolation Prize 2: 1 x Check Your Mates T-Shirt in the nominated size of the
prize recipient and 1 x Trucker Cap.
10. By entering this Competition, all entrants give Motorcycling Victoria and affiliates
permission to use the entered photo for the purposes of promoting the Competition
and Check Your Mates on social media and other public channels, on the condition
that the entrant is credited with authorship.
11. Personal information is collected to enable Motorcycling Victoria to administer and
promote this Competition. Shortlisted entrants agree to the use and disclosure of their
personal information for competition and publicity purposes, including announcement
of the winner's name on Facebook and Instagram. Personal information collected,
used and disclosed in connection with this competition is subject to Motorcycling
Victoria Privacy Policy.
12. Employees, contractors and suppliers to Motorcycling Victoria are not eligible to
enter this competition.
13. Validity of entries and selection of shortlisted entries is at the sole discretion of
Motorcycling Victoria. Motorcycling Victoria reserves the right to revoke the
shortlisting of an entry or a prize at any time.
14. Motorcycling Victoria shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is
suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any
personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize or the Competition,
except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
