Tulare County Head Start and state preschool centers
accepting applications for preschoolers
The Tulare County Office of Education’s Early Childhood Education Program (formerly
known as the Child Care Educational Program) is currently accepting applications for
preschool enrollment at its Head Start and state-funded preschools.
Jim Vidak, county superintendent of schools, said the centers are now accepting preschoolers
who are between 2.10 and 4.9 years as of September 2, 2014. Families must meet income
guidelines and other eligibility requirements.
In addition to an education program, some centers also offer Head Start services including
health, nutrition, special needs and social services.
