Competition Rules
Teams will consist of 3 people. Each team will be provided with a study book containing a list of
Broadway Shows and Songs that will be used in the competition and detailed competition rules.
Teams are allowed to prepare for the game by listening to the Broadway-version
soundtrack. (Most can be found on YouTube).
There will be a total of 7 rounds. In rounds 1 - 6 you will be given a dry erase board to write down
your answers. Five (5) songs will be played per round, and you will be required to give the name
of the song. For a bonus point the name of the show can be given as well. If during any round,
excluding round 7, you give three wrong answers you will be eliminated.
Teams may be “bought back in” by a $100 donation twice in the course of the competition
during the breaks between rounds. The person who “buys back in” the team will receive 2 free
tickets to any 2018 Season Show. (So encourage your “team cheerleaders” to attend!)
Round 7 will be a lightning round. There will be a total of 10 songs played. Each team will have a
paddle to raise and will answer show title only. If an incorrect answer is given in this round then
a point is deducted from the team’s total.
The top three teams will be awarded prizes.
