There are some IMPORTANT QUESTIONS we
want to make sure we get right.
Such as,
DOES IT MATTER WHAT we BELIEVE?
Where did LIFE come from?
How did PEOPLE get here?
And WHY?
Is it INTELLECTUALLY FEASIBLE to believe that
A SUPERNATURAL, INTELLIGENT BEING (GOD)
created THE WORLD, THE UNIVERSE, and ALL
LIVING THINGS?
Many people have died horrible deaths from
eating poisonous toadstools, because they
BELIEVED they were eating EDIBLE
MUSHROOMS. They were very mistaken.
It DOES matter WHAT WE BELIEVE.
OR IS EVOLUTION A SCIENTIFIC FACT that
has EMPIRICALLY and LOGICALLY been
PROVEN that LIFE IS THE PRODUCT OF A
PURELY MATERIAL UNIVERSE THAT CAME
INTO BEING BY RANDOM CHANCE AND/OR
ACCIDENT?
Where DID LIFE come from?
DID life begin by EVOLUTION – or
CREATION?
What is Evolution?
EVOLUTION is, in effect, A SYSTEM OF FAITH.
It is A BELIEF SYSTEM, A RELIGION.
EVOLUTION teaches that TIME, MATTER AND
RANDOM CHANCE produce what we have
today.
 By CHANCE.
 Or BY DESIGN?
CREATION teaches that GOD CREATED the
Heaven and the Earth – what we have today.
EITHER,
We believe...
 MATTER is ETERNAL, and life has evolved
through PURELY NATURAL PROCESSES –
 OR
 MATTER IS NOT ETERNAL, and LIFE WAS
CREATED BY A SUPERNATURAL FORCE.
So the choices are that
THE EXISTENCE OF MAN is…
 EITHER A RANDOM EVENT –
 OR A PURPOSEFUL EVENT.
Evolution teaches “Time + Chance +
natural processes/mutations = life.
The theory of evolution proposes:
Chance chemical reactions produced the
first single-celled organism.
These bacteria were able to reproduce
themselves by cell division, but with
occasional very slight changes from
generation to generation.







Amphibian
Reptile with scales
Mammal with hair
Ape
Man
This process is claimed to have "created," one
after the other, thousands of new, complex
designs, in order to change a bacterium into a
human being.
What does EVOLUTION teach us?
Very slowly, this process of change was
able to "create" new complex biological
designs.
In some 3 billion years the original
organisms were able to change step-bystep as follows:
 Single cell
 Many-celled worm without a backbone
 Worm with a backbone
Evolutionists BELIEVE...
1. That matter is eternal.
a. Evolutionists have no answer as to where
the first matter came from. They just assume
that it always existed.
2. That lifeless matter accidentally stirred
around and brought forth life.
a. This is contrary to the fact that living
creatures are too complex for this to
happen. Even the smallest of creatures are
exceedingly complex.
b. This is contrary to the fact that "life
comes from life."
3. That first accidental life survived and
multiplied in self-reproduction.
4. That accidental life evolved itself
into bigger and better life forms.
To be able to prove evolution...
We would need evidence of thousands of
series of fossils which prove that a slow
process of evolution "created", one after the
other, and thousands of new complex
biological designs.
There should be a series of fossils to show THE
SLOW, GRADUAL EVOLUTION OF A
BACKBONE.
There should be a series of fossils to show the
step-by-step evolution of REPTILE SCALES into
BIRD FEATHERS.
Evolutionists would need to devise AN
EXPERIMENTALLY TESTABLE THEORY OF
GENETICS to explain how evolution "created" a
backbone or changed reptile scales into bird
feathers.
Evolutionists would have to discover the
mechanisms of genetics and embryonic
development which are ABLE TO "CREATE"
COMPLEX NEW BIOLOGICAL DESIGNS.
Evolutionists would have to show us the
evolution of complex new biological designs
happening in nature today.
EVOLUTION is...
A RELIGION.
A BELIEF SYSTEM.
Evolution requires PRESUPPOSITIONS,
BELIEFS, AND FAITH.
Evolution is A BELIEF SYSTEM which
EXCLUDES GOD, and has MAN DECIDING
TRUTH FOR HIMSELF.
That truth is ‘relative’.
Evolution is...
 A belief system.
 A philosophy.
 A philosophy that we should question.
 A philosophy that bears fruit.

If someone accepts EVOLUTION is TRUE...
there is a fruit from that...
 There is no such thing as right and
wrong. No good or bad.
 There is no purpose in the universe
 Man is morally accountable to no one.
 There is no judgment, no absolute moral
law.
 The human race is evolving into a higher
state.
Dr. George Wall, Professor Emeritus of Biology
at Harvard University, who won the Nobel
Prize in Biology in 1971, writing in Scientific
American on the origin of life, said this:
“There are only two possibilities as to
how life arose: One is spontaneous
generation arising to evolution. The other
is a supernatural creative act of God.
There is no third possibility.”
Dr. Wall knows that ‘SPONTANEOUS
GENERATION’, that life arose from nonliving
matter, WAS SCIENTIFICALLY DISPROVEN IN
THE 19TH CENTURY BY LOUIS PASTEUR AND
OTHER SCIENTISTS.
That leaves us with only one possible
conclusion: that life arose as a supernatural
creative act of God.
Dr Wall continued, “I will not accept that
philosophically, because I do not want to
believe in God. Therefore, I CHOOSE TO
BELIEVE WHAT I KNOW IS SCIENTIFICALLY
IMPOSSIBLE: SPONTANEOUS GENERATION
ARISING TO EVOLUTION.
“To say it just happened is impossible, but I
believe it, because I don’t want to believe in
God”.
What does THE EVIDENCE show us?
The second law of thermodynamics (the law of
entropy; the universal law of deterioration) is
against evolution.
The evolutionary model is flawed.
Many people accept the theory without a
thorough investigation.
There are no links between any species.
Evolution is not truly science; it is
philosophy. It is a bias against God. It is
taught virtually as fact.
But it is in actual fact the best guess of
those who will not accept divine creation as
the origin of life.
The links are missing. There is no evidence
found.
For evolution to work, it requires minor
changes over generations that ultimately
add up to major changes through millions
and billions of years.
That is because it requires a whole lot of
time to go from non living chemicals to
single celled living organisms to multi-celled
living organisms to the complex organisms
that we see through the recorded history
we know.
There is a principle – of ‘CAUSE AND EFFECT’.





DESIGN demands a DESIGNER.
BUILDING, a BUILDER.
THING MADE, a MAKER.
CREATION, a CREATOR.
These claimed millions and billions of years
don’t allow for testing in a lab.
What does THE EVIDENCE show us?
I hold that it is possible to intelligently see
evidence that God created the entire
universe out of nothing.
Hebrews 3:4 For every house is builded
by some man; but he that built all things
is God.
It was created very good, and God created
it to glorify himself.
Some things are EVIDENT.
Man is A MORAL CREATURE.
Man has within himself a likeness to God.
Genesis 1:26-27 And God said, Let us
make man in our image, after our
likeness: and let them have dominion
over the fish of the sea, and over the
fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and
over all the earth, and over every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the
earth.
what distinguishes man from all other animals.
A man wrote to Dear Abby and said, "Dear
Abby: I am in love and am having an affair
with two different women. I can't marry them
both. Please tell me what to do, but don't give
man any of that morality stuff."
Abby's answer was a good one. She said,
"Dear Sir: The only difference between
humans and animals is morality. Please write
to a veterinarian."
Man is A WORSHIPPING CREATURE.
(27) So God created man in his own
image, in the image of God created he
him; male and female created he them.
Man has been made in the ‘SIMILITUDE of
God’ (James 3:9). In His likeness. It’s
In all ages and in all cultures MAN IS A
WORSHIPFUL BEING. It’s a universal
tendency to regard someone greater than
ourselves. We are WIRED THAT WAY.
God has REVEALED HIMSELF TO MAN. In
creation, in our conscience, and in the Bible.
It has been called THE ANTHROPIC PRINCIPLE.
Anthropic means: Of, or pertaining to mankind
or humans, - it refers to humanity's existence.
Romans 1:20 For the invisible things
of him from the creation of the world
are clearly seen, being understood by
the things that are made, even his
eternal power and Godhead; so that
they are without excuse:
In other words, the characteristics of the
universe, from the size of galaxies to the
workings of subatomic particles, are
PECULIARLY SUITED TO LIFE ON EARTH.
Just a microscopically slight variation in
PHYSICS, ASTRONOMY, OR GEOLOGY would
alter the Earth and MAKE LIFE IMPOSSIBLE.
EVIDENT DESIGN
There is EVIDENT DESIGN all around us.
THE UNIVERSE appears to be TAILOR-MADE
for LIFE ON EARTH.
Astrophysicists have found that there are
OVER 60 CRITERIA THAT ARE NECESSARY FOR
LIFE ON EARTH... For you to live...
Life could not exist or form if any one of the
following were true:
 If Earth’s rotation was slower, or faster
 We were 2% closer or further from the
sun.
 Earth had a 1% change in sunlight.
 Earth was smaller or larger
 The moon was smaller or larger
 We had more than one moon
 Earth’s crust was thinner or thicker
 Oxygen/Nitrogen ratio was greater or
less
 Ozone layer was greater or less
The tilt of the earth is just right at 23
degrees – to ensure optimal temperature
that is normalised over the surface of the
planet. If the tilt was altered slightly,
surface temperatures would be too extreme
on earth.
The moon is just the right distance away
from the earth to affect the tides. If the
moon were farther, the stagnant water
wouldn't be able to support plant life; if closer,
the tides would cover too much of the land.
The moon stabilises the Earth’s tilt and is
responsible for our seasons. If it weren’t there,
our tilt could swing widely over a large range,
making our winters a hundred degrees colder
and our summers a hundred degrees warmer.
Oxygen level. Earth’s atmosphere is 21%
oxygen. At 25%, fires would erupt
spontaneously. At 15%, people would
suffocate. Earth is the only planet in our solar
system in which we can breathe. Attempting to
breathe on other planets, such as Mars or
Venus, would be instantly fatal, Mars has
virtually no atmosphere and Venus has mostly
carbon dioxide and almost no oxygen.
If the rotational period of the earth took
longer than 24 hours, temperature
differences would be too great between
night and day. If the rotation period were
shorter, atmospheric winds would be too
fast.
surface temperature would cool, and extensive
glaciers would form; if it retained too much
sunlight, the atmosphere would fall into a
greenhouse effect.
Underwater earthquakes occur in just the
right amount to disperse the nutrients lying on
the seabed without destroying too much of the
ocean life.
The salinity of the ocean is just right. If the
ocean wasn't salty, ice would form more
easily, reflecting heat back out into space and
keeping the planet in a permanent ice age.
If Earth's gravity was stronger, the
atmosphere would retain too much
ammonia and methane; if weaker, it would
lose too much water. If the force of gravity
was altered by

(thus, neither would we).
The "shininess," or albedo, of the Earth's
atmosphere is also vital. It means how
much reflectivity in the earth's surface. If
the earth reflected too much sunlight, the

just the right distance from the sun to
ensure that water can exist as solid, liquid,
and vapour. If the Earth were just one percent
closer to the Sun, the oceans would vaporize,
preventing the existence of life. On the other
hand, if our planet was just two percent
further from the Sun, the oceans would
freeze and the rain that enables life would
be nonexistent. And Earth just happens to
have an abundance of water, which is
essential for life.
The Solar System: If our sun were redder
or bluer, plants would not be able to use
sunlight for photosynthesis. The sun's
magnetic field is perfectly aligned to
protect us from cosmic rays, yet not
generate too high of an x-ray flux.
The Earth’s Crust. If the thickness of the
earth’s crust were greater, too much
oxygen would be transferred to the crust to
support life. If it were thinner, volcanic and
tectonic activity would make life impossible.
The Sun’s mass. If the mass of the Sun
were a small percentage greater, it would
burn too quickly and erratically to support
life. If it were smaller, its greater flaring
would disrupt Earth’s rotation rate.
The evidence is clear. WE LIVE ON AN
EXTREMELY RARE PLANET PERFECTLY
POSITIONED IN AN EXTREMELY RARE SOLAR
SYSTEM, IDEALLY LOCATED IN AN EXTREMELY
RARE GALAXY, WITHIN A HIGHLY
IMPROBABLE UNIVERSE.
It is amazing that apparent life exists on only
ONE TINY SPECK IN A UNIVERSE OF TEN
BILLION TRILLION STARS.
Yet, incredibly, EARTH APPEARS TO SIT ALONE
IN A HOSTILE UNIVERSE DEVOID OF LIFE.
WHAT DOES THE EVIDENCE SHOW US?
Consider the complex systems of the Human
Body:
 Circulatory
 Nervous
 Respiratory
 Reproductive
 Skeletal
“Have you ever heard of the “Ductus
Arteriosus”? Before a baby is born this bypass
valve routes blood directly to the developing
fetus’s extremities and not to its lungs.
The first man and woman could not live
with the circulatory system alone.
All systems had to work together – in two
persons at the same time, and one male
and one female so they could reproduce.
The body is replete with many complex
systems that could not have developed by
chance.
It is evident that they are BY DESIGN.
“At the exact moment of birth suddenly the
blood must pass through the lungs to receive
oxygen because now the baby is supposed to
breath air.
“In a flash, a flap descends like a curtain,
deflecting the blood flow, and a muscle
constricts the ductus arteriosus.
“After performing that one act, the muscle
gradually dissolves and gets absorbed by the
rest of the body. Without this split second
adjustment, the baby could never survive
outside the womb. – Dr. Paul Brand.
Imagine a muscle designed to be used only
once. Did that evolve?
To me that shows GOD’S DESIGN.
That is JUST ONE AMAZING PART OF THE
BODY. DESIGN is EVIDENT.
Psalms 139:14 I will praise thee; for I
am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works; and that my
soul knoweth right well.
The more we learn about the body the more
astounding the detail of design.
“DNA is like a software program, only much
more complex than anything we’ve ever
designed.” - Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft.
Dr. Walter Bradley said “Each and every cell in
the human body contains more information
than is contained in all thirty volumes of the
Encyclopedia Britannica.”
Each cell contains that much information. Who
wrote that information? “It’s certainly
reasonable to make the inference that this
isn’t the random product of unguided nature,
but is the unmistakable sign of an Intelligent
Designer.”
What do THE FACTS actually show us?
They lead us to FAITH.
There IS A REASONABLE ALTERNATIVE to
BELIEF IN EVOLUTION.
It is to BELIEVE in CREATION.
It is RATIONAL (REASONABLE) to believe
that GOD, NOT UNKNOWN EVENTS,
CREATED ALL LIFE FORMS, AFTER THEIR
KIND.
Creationism incorporates the scientific data
of the present in conjunction with the
ancient writings of Scripture to provide a
scientific explanation or model about the
origins of life.
It is easy when you adopt this kind of
philosophy to have a disregard for human life,
whether it is still in the womb, or however else
society devalues it.
BUT...
IF GOD HAS CREATED THE WORLD, LIFE NOT
ONLY HAS MEANING,
IT HAS VALUE.
As a Christian, I believe that God created
the world and gives MEANING to life. And
He gives VALUE to life.
If we are here simply BY CHANCE, then our
lives HAVE NO ULTIMATE VALUE — we are
just A MASS OF PROTOPLASM.
God has placed MEANING in our EXISTENCE
and VALUE on our LIVES.
DOES IT MATTER WHAT we BELIEVE?
It’s been said that there are FOUR
QUESTIONS that every religion in the world
tries to answer:
 Who am I and what am I worth?
 Where did I come from?
 Why am I here?
 Where am I going when I die?
There are basically TWO WAYS TO VIEW
THE WORLD.
The HUMANISTIC world view. And...
The CREATIONIST world view.
It is survival of the fittest.
Every man for himself.
 Where am I going when I die? Recycled
back to dirt.
In the Humanist world-view-- Man is god
and answers to no one.
Consider: If evolution is true...
 Who am I and what am I worth? No one
and nothing.
 Where did I come from? A big cosmic
burp about 4.5 billion years ago.
 Why am I here? No purpose, no rules.
IF there is no God then we are a result of
chance and random processes.
 There is NO RIGHT OR WRONG.
 There are NO ABSOLUTE TRUTHS.
IF CREATION IS TRUE...
Who am I and what am I worth?
The apple of God’s eye.
Where did I come from?
God’s preordained will and desire.
God created the heaven – SPACE – in its 3
dimensions – of length, width and height.
Why am I here?
Intimacy with creator God.
You have a life with purpose.
Where am I going when I die?
Heaven, paradise.
GENESIS 1:1 teaches THE ORIGIN OF
TIME, SPACE, AND MATTER.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God
created the heaven and the earth.
In the beginning – TIME – in its 3
dimensions – of past, present, and future.
And the earth – MATTER – in its three
dimensions – solid, liquid, and gas.
All have to come into existence at the same
time.
Genesis 1:1 says they did.
The alternative is to believe that billions of
years ago NOTHING exploded and formed
everything.
Evolutionists cannot explain THE BEGINNING.
It is also evident that evolution is NOT
HAPPENING NOW. The fact is, no one has
ever seen it happen.
Evolution evidently lacks fossil evidence.
Genesis 1:11 And God said, Let the earth
bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed,
and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his
kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the
earth: and it was so.
There is not "a" missing link when it comes
to evolution. The whole chain is missing.
What we see instead, of course, is an array
of distinct "kinds" of plants and animals
with many varieties within each kind, but
with very clear and - apparently unbridgeable gaps between the kinds.
That is, for example, there are many
varieties of dogs and many varieties of cats,
but no "dats" or "cogs."
Genesis 1:21 And God created great
whales, and every living creature that
moveth, which the waters brought forth
abundantly, after their kind, and every
winged fowl after his kind: and God saw
that it was good.
There is variety within each kind, but each
kind is distinct, just like God made it to be.
Contrary to the Bible, the evolutionist must
believe that reproduction does not always
produce KIND AFTER KIND.
There has to be a mutation—or a
transmutation, rather—between species—
that you can become a protozoa; and then
you can become an un-segmented worm;
and then you may become a fish; and then
you may become a reptile, and move from
one species to another.
The problem is that there is NO EVIDENCE
that this has ever happened and no one has
ever seen this occur, although scientists
have tried to make it happen.
and they get all kinds of strange fruit flies.
But, they never get some other kind of bugs;
they’re still fruit flies.
Evolution says Life is CHANCE.
There is no real meaning. No direction.
No real value or purpose.
Here’s what one of the leading exponents of
evolution says about the meaning of life,
according to evolution:
If you have roses, you can mix genetics and
create varieties of roses, but a rose is rose.
If you have dogs—canines—you can have
everything from a poodle to a Great Dane,
interbreed them, but they’re still canines;
they’re still dogs.
Scientists have bombarded fruit flies with
gamma rays to attempt transmutations,
This is the famous Richard Dawkins speaking,
and I quote: “Humans have always wondered
about the meaning of life...life has no higher
purpose than to perpetuate the survival of
DNA...life has no design, no purpose, no
evil and no good, nothing but blind pitiless
indifference.” (Scheff, Liam. 2007. The Dawkins
The BIBLE is true world history.

EVOLUTION is A BELIEF SYSTEM.
 You have to accept it by faith.
 The evidence is lacking.
Its account stacks up and is historically
accurate, backed up by historians and proven
by archaeology.
EVOLUTION says you are an overgrown
kind of ape.
CREATION says GOD CREATED WITH
INTELLIGENCE AND DESIGN.
And the historical record traces mankind right
back to our first ancestors – the first man and
woman, Adam and Eve.
It is EVIDENCE.
RELIABLE EVIDENCE.
We can trust the Bible from cover to cover. It
tells of world history from IN THE BEGINNING,
through present day, and even into eternity
future.
CREATION says you were made in the
image of God.
There is abundant evidence that lines up with
the claims of the Bible and are contrary to the
theory of evolution.
There are numbers of indications that the
earth is about 10,000 years old. Not
millions or billions of years old.
Because, if evolution is true, then we can have
morality by the majority—whatever a person
wishes to believe or think.
 The amount of helium in the atmosphere
indicates the earth is no older than about
10,000 years.
 Ocean floors reveal a sediment
accumulating for about 10,000 years.
 Only 20 million years ago the sun would
have been the size of the earth's orbit
around it.
Self-autonomous man can have it his way:
abortion, homosexuality, incest, murder, theft,
fornication—who’s to say these are wrong.
The Bible tells of men rejecting their Creator.

There is a war going on over a basic sense
of right or wrong. That is why the
authoritative Word of God is under attack.
That is why evolution is taught as fact
instead of as a theory.
Romans 1:22
Professing themselves to be wise, they
became fools.
When you start with the Bible as your
foundation and build models of science and
history on top of its teachings you find that
the evidence matches up.
The Bible is not contradictory to science.
The evidence of all living creatures,
humans, cultures, geology, biology,
physics, archeology, fossils, etc. provide
evidential support for the Bible’s teachings
on science and world history.
CREATION answers THE QUESTIONS OF LIFE.
Where did I come from?
Why am I here?
And, Where am I going?
If all animals and man evolved, then there
were no first parents, and no Paradise, and no
Fall. If there was no Fall, this undermines the
story of the first sin, and the reason for the
Atonement.
The author of the Bible is the God of science
and history and all that exists.
CREATION is...
 Ordered
 After kind
The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross has
no significance.
We can TRUST the AUTHORITY of the Bible
and the TRUTH of GOD’S CREATION.
YOU ARE A SPECIAL CREATION OF GOD.
God made us so He could love us, bless us,
and develop a relationship with us as we
return His love.
We are Created.
We are loved.
We can know our Creator.
Seek to learn about the true God, and not
fashion Him into something He is not.
Let us respect His Word and follow His way
and will.
