Trophy. The list was announced on
February 26.
The Oscar Robertson Trophy
presented by Aflac honors the nation’s
Division I Player of the Year.
Once finalists are announced, the entire USBWA
membership will vote for the winner.

finalists for the 2014-15 John R.
Wooden Award.
Created in 1976, the Wooden
Award is given to the nation’s best
player who is making progress
toward graduation and maintaining
a 2.0 grade-point-average.
The 2013-14 Wooden Award was
presented to Doug McDermott of Creighton.
The Lute
Olson Award
Rakeem Christmas is one of 25 candidates on the
2015 Lute Olson National Player of the Year Award
Midseason Watch List. The list was announced on
January 20.
The Lute Olson Award is presented annually to the
nation’s top Division I player who has played at least
two seasons.
The award is to be presented at the CollegeInsider.
com Awards Banquet on April 3, 2015 in Indianapolis.
The Abdul-Jabbar Award
Rakeem Christmas is one of five finalists for the
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award. The award is given
annually to the top center in men’s college basketball
The list will be narrowed to five and will be
announced in early March. The winner will be chosen
by Mr. Abdul-Jabbar and the Naismith Hall of Fame
selection committee and will be announced by Wendy’s
at ESPN’s College Basketball Awards on Friday, April 10.

The Naismith Trophy
Rakeem Christmas has been named
to the Naismith Trophy Midseason
Top 30. The award, presented by
AT&T, is the most prestigious national
basketball award and is given annually
to the men’s college basketball player
of the year.
The midseason list was compiled
by the Atlanta Tipoff Club’s Board of
Selectors. Ten semifinalists will be named on Friday,
March 6 and the four finalists will be announced on
Sunday, March 22. The 2015 Naismith Trophy winner
will be unveiled on Sunday, April 5.
