EVENT OVERVIEW
TITLE
Vietnamese Interacting as One Conference
DATE
March 25-27, 2016
THEME
Shifting the Paradigm | Unity of Voices
LOCATION
University of Wisconsin-Madison
The current social paradigm stems from centuries of
systematic racial oppression, and it manifests itself in
the forms of racialized crime, prejudicial discrimination
against minorities, as well as inequality of education and
economic opportunity. With this year’s theme, “Shifting the Paradigm | Unity of Voices”, we encourage our
attendees to reflect, share, and discuss how their own
personal stories can help recognize and address these
social issues that continue to divide our society. We act,
but we must act in unity as a part of the greater minority
with other communities of color in order to help shift
the social paradigm which bridges all cultural identities.
