school football in the Kansas City Area who have earned a level of distinction above common
achievement. The GCKFCA Hall of Fame Inductees include coaches, players, teams, and associates that
will be recognized each spring at our Hall of Fame Banquet. Nomination deadline is January 9th.
Nomination Sponsor Information: Nominations should come through the administrator office of a
GKCFCA member school via Athletic Director, Principal, President, or Superintendent.

CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION:
The GKCFCA is committed to honoring those involved in high school football in the Kansas City Area
who have earned a level of distinction above common achievement. The GCKFCA Hall of Fame
Inductees shall be recognized each spring at our Hall of Fame Banquet.
The committee should use the following, traditional criteria, in evaluating each nomination. The
committee can make exceptions to the traditional criteria as they deem appropriate in a case-by-case
basis. Each class of inductees will enter the hall as 1 class, not is categories.
1. A coach should have served a minimum of 15 years as a high school head football
coach in the Greater Kansas City area or 20 years as a combination of a head or assistant coach in the
Greater Kansas City area.
2. A coach should have earned an exceptional Win-Loss record, district, conference,
state championships.
3. A coach should be an upstanding representative of his community and profession.
4. A coach should be recognized as having been an active member of the GKCFCA.
5. A player should have a standout body of work as a high school player in the Greater
Kansas City area. While not a prerequisite, he could have also gone onto a standout collegiate
or professional career.
6. A team should have a minimum of an undefeated state championship season.
Committee could accept other criteria under individual circumstances.
7. An associate of the GKCFCA such as a media personality, local personality, or long
time sponsor/supporter of the Association should be known for their service to high school
football in the Greater Kansas City Area.
