Incorrect substitution (tag on sideline for substitution).
Claiming a touch when contact has not been made.
Excessive force when effecting a touch.
Obstruction (using other players or referee).
Misconduct.
Sin Bin
May be used for serious misconduct or repeated fouls.
Action over Sideline / Scoreline

When a touch is effected within 5 metres of the attacking scoreline, the player in
possession may move directly behind the mark a distance of up to five (5) metres
to the five (5) metre broken line and restart play with a roll ball.
An attacking team is not required to roll ball within five (5) metres of the defending
scoreline. After each touch the player in possession may move forward in line with
the mark up to the five (5) metre broken line to restart play with a roll ball.
To score a Touchdown

Ball to be grounded on or over the scoreline (body does not have to be over the
line).
Player may dive to score except in Mixed Team Grades and Primary School
Grades.
Dummy half cannot score.

No forward passes in the touchdown zone.
To Perform a Penalty Tap

Place ball on ground.
Release ball from hands.
Tap with foot (no more than a metre).
Retrieve ball cleanly.
Secondary & Senior Mixed Team Grades
•
There must be 2 girls / women on the field at all times.
•
Note: This does not apply to Primary School Teams.

Points Allocation
Scoring
• One (1) point will be awarded for a touchdown in all grades except for Mixed Grade
Teams. In these grades, women are awarded two (2) points and men one (1) point
for each touchdown.
Competition Points
• Two (2) points will be allocated for a win, one (1) point for a draw. Where teams
have made themselves unavailable or default a game, the opposition will receive
the two points.
Defaults
•
Any team that is unable to field a team, five (5) minutes after the hooter sounds
will be defaulted.
Semi-finals
The 4 teams with the highest competition points will contest the semi-finals.
• In the event of a tie a countback system will operate.
− Results of matches between the two teams. If still tied;
− Win / loss differential. If still tied;
− Coin toss.
In the semi-finals, extra time will NOT be played. The highest qualifier will proceed to the
final.
Finals
•

In the event of a draw, extra time, GOLDEN POINT WILL BE played. One player
from each side will drop off after every two minutes until a try is scored.
No subs will be permitted during extra time.
