VIII. „Small Lower Franconian
Chess Festival“ 2017
This is the 8th time that the "Small Lower Franconian
Chess Festival" takes place and it is going to be "the
craziest of all times". As in previous years, there will be
the opportunity for first-hand experience with world
champions.
Blitz World Champion Chess GM Valentina Gunina and
Youth World Champion and European Champion WGM
Olga Girya have already confirmed their attendance.
Simultaneous tournament (this is GM Valentina Gunina's
favourite discipline, and affectionately nicknamed by
her as "Crazy Chess") and Chess960 have been firmly
established as part of the programme.
Basque Chess is another new discipline which we are
offering. It is also played at the "World Mind Games" in
China and very popular with female chess players.
All prize money is guaranteed, which will certainly add
to the attractiveness of the festival.
It is our aim to provide an attractive festival for all
friends of chess and we look forward to welcoming you.
