Every player plays for himself and may not give advice to other players. At the beginning of the tournament, every player receives chips to the value of 100,000. As the number of places is limited to 30, it is possible to play tandem, i.e. two players share a seat or stack and can take turns in playing. As in previous years, there will be the opportunity for first-hand experience with world champions. Blitz World Champion Chess GM Valentina Gunina and Youth World Champion and European Champion WGM Olga Girya have already confirmed their attendance. Simultaneous tournament (this is GM Valentina Gunina's favourite discipline, and affectionately nicknamed by her as "Crazy Chess") and Chess960 have been firmly established as part of the programme. Basque Chess is another new discipline which we are offering. It is also played at the "World Mind Games" in China and very popular with female chess players.
